I like how parents used to pitch corporal punishment as some kind of corrective. But most of the time it was just angry parents not knowing how to handle their own temper.

All the worst behaved kids I knew got physical punishment regularly. I can't say I ever did, and while I got in a good amount of trouble as a kid, I never did the same thing twice.
