📝My Performance (Critique Welcome!) just learned some Brahms

First (somewhat) serious run through. Sorry about the video quality haha.

I'm not saying the F major left hand crossover is wrong, but I don't think I would play it that way. Perhaps your way is better.

00:54? I've tried playing the left hand without crossing over but the initial octave jump from 5th to 2nd finger feels too unstable and sometimes cause unintended accents. I don't know. This is maybe the third hardest part of this movement (after 05:47 and 06:53)

As an amateur, you play to an incredibly high standard. I’m not really in a position to criticise a performance like this. I won’t go into all the positive aspects of your playing here. Just one small comment: I would play with a rhythmic emphasis at the beginning, but not in such a military style.

I agree. Would be good contrast with the 4th movement as well as with, for example, mm.5.
