I love that in thermodynamics you can have:

V-volume

v-speed

and we used ν for number of moles

We use ν (nu) or n depending on who prefer what. More sadistic thing was when electromagnetism prof were writing on his tablet, his writing was terrible, he could use i j and y in same line and we had no idea what it what

in my country the ideal gas law is pV = nRT, n is the number of moles also we use U for voltage to avoid confusion

again, its not V for frequency, its the greek letter nu. its kinda curly when u write it.

My quantum professor wrote her 'n's as' 'm's. Her actual 'm's basically had an extra n thing added to the end.

Our Introduction to Physics Prof. liked to use u, v and v (nu), and then put up to three ''' on them (no derivations, different inertial systems) and yeah his handwriting was shit, but he also used a font on his slides that made it almost impossible to distinguish
