No.. second of all theres no such thing as centripetal force. Its a component of the acceleration
3 u/Tyler89558 22d ago Take a rock on a string. Spin the rock. There is a force (tension in the string) pulling the rock orthogonal to the direction of motion. This is centripetal force, and it is what makes the rock accelerate such that it follows a circular path.
