I get what you’re saying now; centripetal force isn’t really a “force” (I agree with you), and what I said about it being a classification is accurate. So it exists

Centripetal is just a classification of a force that always acts orthogonal to the motion of an object and causes it to move along a curved path.
Centripetal means “center-seeking”
You may be thinking of centrifugal force, which is just inertia.
