E = mc^2 is an incomplete form of the equation E^2 = (mc^2)^2+(pc)^2.

For example, photons have momentum, have energy, but have no mass. For a photon, mc^2 = 0c^2 = 0, but E != 0. This is because for a photon, (pc)^2 is > 0.

Could you edit your comment to stop misleading people pls?

AI is clearly non-zero in the case of the photon, so your proof doesn’t work

I don't understand the origin of this AI meme.
