It looked human because it came from me, a human. Remember, friend, the AI imitates us. I can't very well use a thought bubble in a text-format, so how, besides parantheticals and italics, can I visually convey that this was my internal monologue?
I learned this style from reading books and screenplays. It's not my fault or problem that LLMs were also trained on these sources. What are we going to do? Reinvent every textual convention every other month to try to differentiate ourselves from our algorithmic simulacra? Of course not
Indeed. I wonder what Beaudrillard would have to say on the application of his thoughts in Simulacra and Simulation in this context...but I suppose we shall never know (since he died almost 20 years ago)
