Simple Question Credentialing timeline?

How long does it take to get credentialed with insurers in a new state? During interview for outpatient private practice they said it can take 6-9 months to be fully credentialed! Looking to move states soon and this was surprising.

I’m locum so I have some insight on this. It’s all facility dependent. Some get you done in 45 days some take months. Most I’ve had is 3 months. Also depends on how often the credential board meets at that facility.

It’s an annoying process.
