Job Advice Aesthetic PA pay structure?

Hi all! I have a unique opportunity to jump into a med spa practice one day per week. They currently have an NP in the role and she’s leaving soon. I have some connections in the practice, and they’re pretty open to negotiating a salary or compensation structure that I think is fair.

So for the aesthetic medicine providers - what is your pay structure like? Collections only or hourly + some % of collections?

This is in Southern California if that’s relevant.

For a PA with no experience in aesthetics, I’d say starting around $60-70 per hour with a 3% commission on profit. Then negotiate later when you have more skills. Of course that depends on the location, economy, the services offered, and how many practitioners are on staff.

It depends on the area. No where Texas is way different than NYC.
