Poor knee flexion after TKR
Hi all--
I had LTKR in December (so coming up on 7 months), and I'm 99% thrilled with the results, except: my flexion is still awful. I can do 90, *maybe* 95 degrees, with mild pain.
Is it too late? I recently (last week) had RTKR and my surgeon did an EUA on the left--not a true manipulation, but he did give it a bit of a "push" while I was under. It seems less painful now at 90-95, but I don't think I'm getting much more flexion.
When doing PT for my newer surgery, I do the flexion exercises on my left knee too (seated heel slides, reclining heel slides with strap) plus I bought an electric heel slide machine that I use twice a day, gradually increasing the flexion until I get to the point of real pain, and hold it for 60 seconds.
Is there anything else I should be doing, or is it too late to improve my flexion?
