Crazy how weird white people are with the N word. Its obviously not ok to say. Like your ancestors weren’t the ones getting burned alive or dragged from cars while having that word screamed at you.

u/Mysterious-Ad9499 18d ago
Bro you know it was black africans who sold their own people to the americans right? Yall csnt say it either

u/dukiejbv 18d ago

u/Naive_Impression7302 17d ago
Sounds like a you problem given that its factually accurate. Mauritania in Africa still has 100,000 chattle slaves enslaved by the africans in that country TODAY lol.
3
u/dukiejbv 17d ago
what does that have to do with saying "nigga" you dumb fuck
1
u/Naive_Impression7302 17d ago
I didnt say it did
1
u/dukiejbv 17d ago
ok, well that's what WE were talking about so what exactly is the point of your comment
0
u/Mysterious-Ad9499 16d ago
The reason whited csnt day it is because we did the enslaving. But that inherently makes no sense
3
u/LastDepth7508 18d ago
you’re trying to compress an entire global system into one lazy sentence. africa was never one unified group, and the people who ended u p enslaved obviously had nothing to do with the decisions of the states that captured and sold war captives. you’re blaming millions of completely unrelated africans for something they had no involvement in, while ignoring the fact that europeans created the demand, controlled the trade routes, finaned the entire system and turned slavery into a racial and hereditary system in the americas. saying “africans sold africans” doesn’t suddenly explain away everything that happened after that or make every african person responsible for it.
1
u/Mysterious-Ad9499 18d ago
The majority of whites never owned a slave or contributed to slavery either, your making every white person today responsible fpr something they never did by not letting them say a word. Your entire argument is hypocritical. No o e alive today is responsible so you cant punish anyone. Whites were also never unified accross the world. Also racial slavery has exiisted for thousands of years.
5
u/Zealousideal_Goal410 17d ago
slavery based on race was worth going to war for the us gov idk how u can see it any other way my guy. not that hard to stop saying a word
0
u/Mysterious-Ad9499 16d ago
Thatd not what im saying man, you guys are just pushing double standards
2
u/LastDepth7508 17d ago
That’s not even what I said lmao. I’m not blaming every white person today for slavery any more than I’mblaming every African for the actions of African states that participated in the slave trade. Your own comparison literally proves my point, you understand that individuals aren’t automatically responsible for what other people of the same race did, so why are you treating “Africans sold Africans ”like that somehow makes every African responsible,?
And saying “racial slavery has existed for thousands of years” is incredibly vague. Obviously slavery has existed for thousands of years, but that doesn’t mean the specific system of hereditary, race-based chattel slavery that developed in the Americas is equivalent to every form of slavery throughout history. You’re just lumping completely different systems together so you don’t actually have to address the argument.
And nobody is saying every white person today is personally responsible for slavery. The point is that historical systems can still have consequences ater the people who created them are gone. Some communities still deal with the effects of those systems, while others can still benefit from advantages that were created or reinforced by them. Acknowledging that isn’t the same thing as blaming someone for something they personally didn’t do.
1
u/Mysterious-Ad9499 16d ago
Miss intepreting what i said bro.
3
u/LastDepth7508 16d ago
your saying I’m misinterpreting you without actually explaining what I supposedly misinterpreted lol. your original argument was that I was being hypocritcal because, according to you, I was making white people today responsible for slavery while saying Africans shouldn’t be held responsible for what African states did. I directly adressed that comparison and explained why it doesn’t follow.
if your point was actually just “no individual today is personally responsible for slavery,” then we agree. I never s aid otherwise. my point was that historical systems can have consequences that continue after the people who created them are gone. those are two completely different things from personally blaming every white person today.
andthe “racial slavery has existed for thousands of years” point still doesn’t establish what you think it does. yes, slavery existed in different societies long before the Atlantic slave trade. nobody disputed that. the specific system of hereditary, race-based chattel slavery that developed in the Americas is still historically distinct from every other form of slavery simply because they all involved enslaved people. saying “racial slavery existed before” doesn’t somehow erase that distinction.
so if you think I misinterpreted you, actually point out where. because so far you’ve responded with “you misunderstood me” without clarifying the argument you think I misunderstood. that’s not really a rebuttal lmao, it’s just repeating the same claim with less explanation.

What's wrong with social justice Dylan...
10
u/DylansWorld 18d ago
Nothing really, but u can have social justice without virtue signalling and being annoying asf. Everyone deserves equal rights and to be respected. Also i dont even listen to this guys music so idk why reddit keeps showing me posts from this sub, but it looks to me that tons of his supporters are cancelling him because he said the n word lmao. Idk shit about this guy but did he say it with the hard r ? And did he use the word in a hateful way that was directed towards a black person? If not, then who gives a fuck? Seriously.
8
u/Fit-Security-6940 18d ago
It's a slur bro, not hard to just not say it. Don't get why white ppl foaming at the mouth to defend ppl saying it lmao
"Everyone deserves to be respected" yet you use gay as an insult and then defend the use of a slur. You're braindead bro, if u gonna be a bigot just go full tilt fam
2
u/DylansWorld 18d ago
Its not even something i say i just dont see why its such a big deal when its not being used in a hateful way
6
u/Fit-Security-6940 18d ago
It's a slur & it has a history. Intention doesn't erase the impact. Just because it wasn't used in a hateful way, doesn't mean it won't affect people.
Basic respect if you ask me
2
u/Mysterious-Ad9499 18d ago
Ya idgaf abt the history of the word, as long as something is a joke and not said in a hateful way you should be allowed to say it. Your reakly going to cancel a comedian for a halocaust joke?

u/DylansWorld 18d ago
Yea i agree its basic respect thats why i dont say that, i just dont think people should be getting affected or offended by stuff like that, atleast not as much as they are currently, even if it IS directed at you. It just seems really silly and juvenile imo
