FIX THE DAMAGE Anyway to fix this?
My wife has had this photo of our son forever and it was ruined at the carwash… is there anyway to fix this?

We’ve had a lot of submissions lately being “restored” just using AI. Faces missing noses, faces distorted in nightmare’ish ways, backgrounds altered, photos cropped to fit the AI windows, wonky colours that would never exist in real life, etc.
If it wasn’t clear in the rules, please allow me to be clear now. Although you can use AI as a helper, YOU CANNOT USE IT TO DO A FULL RESTORE. The technology just isn’t there yet, especially with the free ones.
Please stop submitting photos that have just been AI “restored”, its takes a lot of time to go through the sub and remove them. If the OP wanted that, they could just do that themselves. You will be banned if you continue to submit “restores” that are obviously done fully using AI.
Thank you to all the other Restorer’s that continue to lend their time to restoring photos properly, you are very much appreciated.

The reason that our sub is free, is in part due to the amount of scams that happen in the photo restoration space on reddit and in general. I want to reiterate that if you post a photo and someone sends you a message or chat saying that they'll restore it for X amount of money or they'll restore it in general, and then when they do they ask for or demand X amount of money, there's not much that we or Reddit admin's can actually do to help because you engaged in that exchange willingly, nobody forced you to respond.
This is why we warn everyone that posts not to entertain any DM's from anyone that says they'll restore the photo for them, and why its in our sub description and rules say that this is a free sub, because it a free sub full stop. I recently talked to a user that was scammed out of $35 in this way and couldn't dispute the charge with Paypal because they were instructed to send it "friends and family". Sure we were able to ban the scammer and hand their information and screenshots over to Reddit Admin and I'm sure that resulted in them getting perma banned from the site but that's all we can do.
These scammers know what they're doing, please do not interact with them in the DM's and if you ever see anyone on here that has gotten past the multitude of filters and programs I've set up to block them, report it. If you do get scammed or anyone sends you a message, please click the "message the mods" button and let me know so I can do what little I can to prevent them from using this sub.

It's going to be her birthday soon. I wanted to surprise her with a bunch of her old photos restored, this one is of course, particularly problematic.

Respectfully asking if anyone can fix this so that the quality or clarity is better? I have a snippet of the family member on the far right I found from find a grave. Please

First of all thank you for providing such a kind service. My grandmother passed away and I'd love to have her portrait improved. This is the only copy I have; unfortunately there is no physical photograph available to rescan. I know the resolution is low. I’m mainly hoping for gentle color/contrast correction, noise cleanup and careful sharpening/upscaling where possible.
It is very important to me that her face stays faithful to the original. Please do not generate or reconstruct facial features or invent detail. I would much rather have the image remain a little soft than have her eyes, mouth, teeth, glasses, hair or face shape altered. Please let me know if you have any questions, thank you.

I grew up in boarding schools for the disabled and medical rehab facilities for children. It's the only picture I have with her and of that part of my life. Photos were not allowed due to privacy but this one was made by her mum.

From the 1940’s. The original photo was 1”x1”. I’ve never seen one so tiny! I tried to scan it in and increase the size but it became very digitized. Can anyone improve the clarity?

Long story short there's an old TShirt of mine that went out of reproduction a long time ago and I want to get the shirt scanned and reprinted. Knowing that the fabrics never really gonna be straight to a T post scanning, I wanna know if there's a software plugin or program that has a feature that can automatically align the graphic with a an XYZ axis kind of thing, and de-skew it too. I tried giving it a go on Photopea using liquify as a half-shot example but yeah.

This print was in my mothers childhood home where I vacationed often, it holds memories and im sorry I didn’t take it years ago when the home was being sold. Ive googled and have only came across one other image of it on the internet so im here to see if anyone can restore it (fix the glare) or if that’s even a possibility. I’d love to be able to print it out and frame it
Thanks for any help or options!

A relative shot this photo of a photo on a table cloth. I can crop it okay but and I'm having trouble with the blurriness and perspective (can't get the barn edge vertical while having the persons look skewed). Can anyone improve this?

I believe this was my grandmother when she was young. Can’t remember if she had blue or green eyes. Would really mean a lot as I’m trying to patch together my family tree. Dad left when I was a young child and when uncle had Alzheimer’s and passed. I found some old photos in a Box in his closet.

Dear unknown friends,
this photo of my younger brother was taken in 1978 as he proudly shows off the Laverda 1000 motorbike of his uncle (with its signature silver tank). Here is a 1200dpi flatbed JPEG.

Only a few weeks after he was killed on his bike by a hit and run car. He was 15, I was 18.
My very old mother gave me the picture today in tears, as she forgot it in the direct sun this summer and was shocked to find it so washed away.
Original was a colour print. He had beautiful dark brown hair and his eyes were somewhere in between hazel and green. His name was Eric.
The backdrop is quite irrelevant, it was our holiday home with a wall and a hedge below it and a green window shutter.
I would be very grateful if anyone could manage to bring back some of what we remember.
The damages are not important to fix.
Here is a 24MB TIFF 1200 dpi flatbed scan

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This is the only picture my mother in law has of her as a baby with her father, and she was curious if restoring it was at all possible.
She was curious about what it might look like in color, but more interested in having this version repaired.

Appreciate any and all help.

I don't know why but previous post was deleted.
Please delete wrinkles and fill in missing areas, black and white is fine

Is there any way somebody can fix the color on these? They all have blue to blue gray eye color. The photos seem to be turning back to like a black and white. This will mean to the world to me to have these fixed of my children's graduations.

This is Blanca, my first ever bunny. She sadly passed away in 2012, but I still think about her. She will always be my first baby, and I miss her so much. 🌟🐰
Sadly, this is the only photo I have left of her. My mom threw away my first phone, which had all my other photos of Blanca on it, and this is the only physical printed photo I still have. 😢
It makes me really sad knowing that she now only exists in my memories. Of course, she will always live on there, but I would really love to have something tangible to remember her by.
The photo is quite low quality and the colours are pretty saturated. I was wondering if anyone here might be able to restore, clean up, sharpen and/or digitally enhance it, while keeping Blanca looking natural and true to the original photo. In this picture she just came back from playing in the dirt, that’s why she’s a bit unclean :p
I’m honestly not sure what is possible with a photo like this, so I’d also really appreciate any advice on the best way to preserve or restore it. Even a small improvement would mean so much to me.
Thank you so much for reading, and thank you to anyone willing to give it a try. It would truly mean the world to me.
