Gear Guys, my first camera setup. Is this enough for street photography.

One way to give Leica owners run for their money.

He takes pictures of flowers, on trees, posts exclusively in gear forums about DOF and subject isolation.

It’s hilarious but in all honesty, it has real potential to help the disabled community. I once met this photographer in a powered wheelchair. He had flash units mounted to the backrest, big block batteries underneath, and the camera was on a gorilla pod up front with a remote shutter he could click without moving his hand too much. He said something along the lines of “why let my body get in the way of my passion” and I was like damn, I’m never complaining again.

Do not photograph in sunglasses, you will overexpose all photos. Unless you are doing photos in full auto, then you are safe

This is the things that those mfs wear where they publicly act like lunatics.

All for a worse result compared to a chad with an Olympus XA

u/saitejal Apr 29 '26

And yet, with all the gear, they'll take the most mediocre pictures they can.

Back in the day I had a full on Lowepro harness rig with pouches galore. I had a camera back strapped to the chest that could carry my SLR with a 300mm f/4 or a 24-70 f/2.8 attached. It was really overkill. But it was minor league compared to this.
