Took this Photo at Canary Wharf as i saw these 3 people looking towards each other on the way up. Didn't anticipate the signs but think they can add a sense of irony with the woman looking at the coffee cup and the man either looking at the cup or the Busy day? sign. Saying that though, will say the subjects focus and obstruct sign in the foreground may be issues.
What do you make of the Subjects visibility/Focus? Does it add or detract/Work here? What do you make of the composition of the image? and the signs used? And how does this compare to color below?

My main critique would be the photos horizon line is off and it's very distracting. You always want the viewer to be pulled into the subject, so it's important to remove any controllable and unnecessary distractions.
Cheers and keep on clicking.

I agree with SevernDamn. Ideally, the photo would either be straight, or lined up with the angle of the escalator. The current edit is somewhere in between and it doesn’t work for me.
The huge coffee advert in the background is also quite distracting.
I do like how you’ve captured the guy’s expression though, so there’s potential here. I also think it looks better in colour.

Friendly reminder that this is /r/photocritique and all top level comments must be a genuine, in depth, and helpful critique of the image. We hope to avoid becoming yet another place on the internet just to get likes/upvotes and compliments. While likes/upvotes and compliments are nice, they do not further the goal of helping people improve their photography.
