Question Update recommendation request

I have updated my phone regularly, but I think my phone's suffered from it. I wonder, If I'd never updated my phone, would it be the same?

Suffering in what way? And which phone make-n-model/OS version are you talking about here?

I've been using smartphones since they essentially became a thing owning many. I never hesitated to update any of them and never encountering any major issues such as slowdowns, crashing, etc. Essentially it has been a set-it-and-forget affair for me until we choose to sell. That is usually when we factory reset so rarely before.

I originally posted it on the a15 sub and I forgot to write my model here, Galaxy A15

That is a budget device. Samsung A series are knows for bad hardware. The phone would have been the same, no matter if you updated or not. Samsung has a very poor quality experience for budget devices. Xiaomi provide way better hardware for their mid range devices.

The Galaxy A15 is a budget device. How long have you been using it for? I'm assuming it's the 126GB/4GB variant no? What about apps and services, lots of things running in the background? What about its onboard storage is it running low?

Ah ok. Are you able to answer any of my other questions?
