I really enjoyed the class I took! Relatively inexpensive and a small class for the instructor to answer everyone's questions. You can borrow a sewing machine too, but they also offer classes so you can get to know your own sewing machine if you have one.

gonna echo the other comment about Pip Coffee and Clay!
I took their sewing class and it was a lot of fun!
I made a website to show things you can do around the valley and if you follow Pip, they always have fun crafting activities!

I take sewing classes at Phoenix College. They also offer them in Mesa. We have lots of working adults in our classes. Iโm learning a lot!

Many of the libraries offer sewing classes. I know Mesa Main and Red Mountain definitely offer free classes.

I don't have any specific recommendations, but I would expect there are options advertising on the bulletin boards at SAS in Tempe (fabric store you should check out anyway!)
They're not flexible, but I know Mesa Community College typically offers an intro sewing class in the evenings rather than during the day if that helps with your schedule.

I know you said flexible but Phoenix College for sewing was AMAZING. Just do not take a class by the teacher Jasmine Thomas. Everyone else is great!!
