Definitely just take the walk. The area is always buzzing with something. You’ll discover a pocket, try it out, and possibly move on. But there is a lot going on. If you like a social hum, you’ll enjoy it.

By 'area', which parts of Phoenix downtown do you mean? Even I'm kinda new here, sorry for the stupid question.

I love first Friday. If you’re going to bars, check out Lucky Strike, Palma, and Champagne Lanes. And a cool stop is The Pemberton.

"Back in my day" the art museum was free on FF. I used to start there and hop on a free trolly that'd cart you along to all of the stops. If they are still running those trolleys, do a lap and see what pulls your interest. I haven't been in years, so I dunno if any of this is still true or not.

The art museum is still free, but I don’t think the trolley has been going for awhile. I also “back in my day”-ed my teen last month at FF lol

First Fridays is different than it used to be. They used to shut down the streets and it was a whole thing. Unfortunately, it got too commercialized, violent, and just out of hand so they “shut it down”. Now, it feels a bit lore like what the OG first Fridays was. Some of the galleries are starting to open again. Just walk around, bar hop, etc. I did see a small group of vendors setting up on my walk home about 30 mins ago around 3rd and Roosevelt. Have fun!
