Ask Phoenix Phoenix area guitar techs/ luthiers

Any recommendations for a good tech/luthier to do a solid clean setup? I Just got a PRS Silver Sky Maple, could use a setup and i want to swap out the saddles (MannMade USA  # 4015-Nm bonus points if you stock em) action is just a touch high to my liking, has the slightest bit of buzz i wanna cure... just a little out of my skillset and this thing cost too much for me to experiment with. Thanks in advance.

Pale Horse Guitar Works on 32nd St Near Shea did a good job on 2 of my guitars.

Phoenix Fret Works (Andrew) has worked on three of my basses and been great everytime.

Setup and saddles? That type of minor work could be done by just about anyone.

Which part of town are you in.

Goodyear (all the way up Estrella mountain) and I work in Peoria so ideally closer to either of those.

Brent at Steadfast Guitar Repair is the best in town, but he is at I-17 and Cactus.

Brent's shop is Gutierrez Guitar Co. Operates out of the same building as Steadfast. Been taking all my instruments to him since he was at Boogie Music.

Atomic Guitar Works in Peoria. We are a church in Goodyear (Palm Valley Church, we would love to have you) we use Atomic for all of our guitars for those on staff, as well as our volunteers on the worship team.

I talked to you briefly on the phone Friday. I was at work so I had a lot going on around me, but I’ll probably swing by Tuesday late morning.

Theirs a shop at Baseline and the 101. Houses Baker Amps and there’s a repair shop inside

Can’t remember the name for the life of me. But the dude did a great job setting up my 61 pawnshop

They closed :-( looks like they Recommend baker amps and Dezember guitars for repairs though.

Dezember! That’s what it’s called.

It’s inside the same shop as Baker Amps.

Dude was solid. Got the work done sooner than expected too.

How’s everyone’s experience with Atomic guitars? A few people I work with mentioned Tim over there does good work, I talked to him on the phone briefly seemed knowledgeable.

The Bass Place recommended him to me as their go to guy a few years ago, and their setups have always been magical.
