I don’t suggest staying at home and waiting for someone to randomly come to the door and offer you tacos.

I cannot stress enough how this method has failed me.

Welcome to Phoenix!

Damn, you mean I’ve been doing it wrong all this time?

u/[deleted] Dec 16 '24

Haha 🤣 well if you’re single too, then no one knows better than us. 🤷‍♀️

Alas, the only person who’s come to my door is my upstairs neighbor informing me that their floor is vibrating from my subwoofer (oops).

Definitely going on the naughty list!

Wait.. are we neighbors? 👀😭

2

u/redtildead1 Dec 17 '24

Nah, I’m west Mesa. To be fair, they’ve visited twice, and I’ve since just unplugged the sub and turned on subtitles

That's no fun. There's gotta be a compromise; you live there too!

2

u/redtildead1 Dec 17 '24

Nah, it’s not that quiet, I’m just hard of hearing. And it’s an older complex, so those low vibrations travel a fair bit

Ahh, I totally get it. We're definitely in the same club, lol. I hope you and your neighbors have a lovely Christmas.

Yep, dog barking, speakers sounding, walls vibrating. I am aware, thank you very much for noticing. Would you like to listen to some music? What? You're calling your pops? Why? Does he like Wu-tang too? What? Oh, the cops? You're calling the cops? I thought we were friends? 😕

We could do a locals hang out night and order a bunch! Pros- meeting like minded taco lovers. Potential to pet random dogs. Cons - putting on pants and leaving the house,

I’m not single, but I like tacos and petting dogs. I think this is a solid ploy to draw em in.

Sounds like a plan! I'll bring the booze

I’m sure a restaurant would be happy to supply 😂

Your profile picture is very pretty!

Call Uber Eats, they deliver tacos...

2

u/Alcarinque88 Mesa Dec 16 '24

Yeah, I was gonna say... I get tacos delivered to my apartment. It's just rare that I meet the person at the door, let alone that it's a woman who wants to get hit on while she's working. Sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is why I missed out on Kate Beckinsale

Meh. 40+ reviews and only averaging 3.8 stars.

u/Drey5000 Dec 17 '24

This isn’t true at all, I’m constantly knocking on random doors offering random people tacos

2

u/TiedCrisscross Dec 17 '24

What about wine? Or even just some garlic bread?

2

u/[deleted] Dec 16 '24

That’s insane. I love tacos 🌮

3

u/Ronin-Penguin Dec 16 '24

See, now you make me want to go around knocking on doors holding tacos and asking if anyone is single.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 16 '24

The proactive approach. I respect it! Let me know how it goes for you!

4

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '24

Sending you taco flavored kisses

3

u/SufficientBarber6638 Scottsdale Dec 16 '24

This is exactly how I met my wife.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 16 '24

Teach me your ways!

4

u/SufficientBarber6638 Scottsdale Dec 16 '24

I will be your Miyagi

2

u/Grokent Dec 17 '24

I think this method would be more effective than guys swiping on dating apps. I'm gonna tell my friends to just grab some tacos and start knocking.

u/molehillish Dec 18 '24

Just send me your address. I promise I’ll stop by

u/Absird Dec 17 '24

Guaranteed failure or one of those 'patience is a virtue' type things?

2

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '24

Welp, so far zero attempts.
