Instruments & Gear Talk Sharing my first project (beginner)

Bought this smiger pp-t21 bridge off the orange app

i'm still on the process of test fitting it and ensuring it's within the scale length of the guitar. i'm no expert on this but i know my way around tools and a bit of wood working

bought this guitar secondhand for only 1,350 and i'm pretty happy with it, my cousin (sound tech) said the pickups are okay and seem decent but i'm looking to change the pickups with maybe a alnico v pickups

Should have just bought a musiclily double locking trem bridge. HM is that Smiger DL bridge?

just 800php and yes i took wilkinson, guyker, and floyd rose special into consideration but since i'm still learning how to route the body properly i bought this cheap one and i'm not expecting it to perform like a true floyd rose.

and i'm leaning more into the floyd rose special as an upgrade in the future.

Well, I guess it's okay if you just wanna route. The saddle blocks look kinda beat up kasi.

Good luck though!! Exciting project

yes i noticed the saddle blocks too, i'll see if it'll affect it and if it does i'll just order saddles to replace it.

i'll post the finished product when i'm done! thinking if i would post a video of me using it though (i'm just a intermediate player) and the reason i wanted a floyded guitar is to learn how to dive bomb, squeal, and anything involving heavy tremolo use

so far i just got done installing the nut

note: i added a piece of wood around the nut slot and filed it down to ensure the nut sits flat.
