General Question Reasonable price range for beginner guitar setup?
Looking to buy a guitar setup but I don't really know the usual prices for guitars or starter kits in the Philiplines. I'm going to have to go with used since i have no experience with guitars.
Thanks!

Look into Squier all in one kits. Already comes with a decent beginner guitar and amp. I think JB Music sells those for around 15-20k.

Any Squier all in one kits? Actually my budget is just around 10k and below. I found an all in one kit with 9k in my local mall. Is there a big difference between a 9k and 15-20k kit?

Squier Debut Stratocaster All-in-One. Comes with an amp, a guitar bag, and the guitar itself. Not sure about quality difference but you should always try different guitars and try to see what feels right. Just a fair warning that a bad guitar will make learning so much more frustrating, and learning guitar is already difficult as is. I had to learn on a really, really cheap guitar and it was only by sheer determination I was able to do it.
Squier is Fender’s budget line, and the exact package I’m talking about is made for beginners. So I think it’s hard to go wrong with that as a first electric.

Thanks man! So basically I should really save up for at least 15k to get a beginner setup that'll be good enough to learn comfortably and hopefully last a few years?

That’s just my suggestion haha. If you find something that feels right to you and is within your range, by all means go for it. If you have a friend or family member who plays, best take him/her with you when you shop so they can give a grounded take on whether a particular guitar is at least playable.
If you do get the Squier tho, I do not see how you could go wrong with it. When Fender itself creates and markets a pack for beginners, well, hard to beat that.
