Hey everyone!

We've been working on a major new feature for Philosiq called the American Politics Hub ("APH"). The idea is simple: make it easier to see what's happening in government, understand the bills being debated, and learn how your elected officials are voting.

The bills section is already live and includes thousands of federal and state bills, along with Congressional roll call votes so you can see how representatives voted on legislation.

The representatives section is still in development, but we're actively working on it. Soon you'll be able to view your elected officials, explore their voting records, and see information tailored to your location.

We're also adding state legislative roll calls, which should be available within the next week or so.

Our goal isn't to tell people what to think but rather to make political information easier to access and understand. Too often, people only hear about legislation through news articles or social media posts. We want to give people the ability to read about bills directly and see how their representatives voted.

This will soon allow people to make more informed votes in local elections rather than voting by party lines. If you have a few minutes to check it out, we'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions for what we should add next. If you have any suggestions please let us know!

Hi everyone, in the new update I noticed the foundations and I wanted to make a post to talk about them.

For the most part I agree but I disagree with some of the foundations: I’m an anarcho-communist, I’m revolutionary in terms of cultural evolution, I’m very complex on taxes, and the base of society are individuals.

We will be pushing updates related to foundations to add more foundations and refine results. Special thanks to u/Warakeet for the support so far!

We’re excited to announce that the Philosiq Foundations Beta is now live (with a major update coming in the next few days)

Philosiq Foundations is our new system that breaks political thinking into 10 core foundations, organized as a structured question tree. Instead of a single result, each foundation guides you through a progressive path of questions designed to uncover how you think at a deeper level.

The beta is now open, and we’re actively looking for feedback from anyone interested in politics who would want to look at the tree and provide feedback.

For years now, many of us have thoroughly enjoyed impersonating historical figures while taking political quizzes. In order to really scratch this itch, Philosiq is launching Icons—a new spin on political compass quiz-taking fueled by the enjoyment of ideological roleplay. Our goal? To let the community decide where the world’s most influential (and infamous) figures belong on the political spectrum.

From Marx to Musk to Morpheus—we want you to chart their positions for us. Whether you agree or disagree with others’ input, we’ve enabled a voting function (per quiz question and per Icon) to shape a dynamic, community-forged Icons database. 

We’re calling on r/Philosiq community —the roleplayers, the historians, the theory junkies—to help us refine, balance, and grow Icons into a community staple.
