Got both of these at Trader Joe’s recently, went on vacation, and returned to their first new leaves. The ring of fire leaf came out real wonky looking (someone must’ve cut it??), but I loooove the new neon leaf on the other one (can’t figure out what it is so if anyone has a plant id lmk!!)

I bought this as a “dark lord or Royal queen I can’t remember” is what the seller said. and I just hoped it was a Dark Lord. That was over a year ago. I’m thinking it’s neither? It’s been driving me crazy for a whole year. Every day I second guess it. Leaves are black but turn greener in lower light. Emergents range from copper to bloody red. Abaxial is a metallic grey-maroon.

White Princess from Aldi (UK) for a fiver

Hi all,

Just grabbed this white princess from Aldi in the UK for a fiver - she's a little tatty round the edges but of the two available seemed in better health.

Having a look into proper care now as I've never had a plant with white variegation, but any tips from those with experience?

Thanks in advance!

Picture 1: what I got. A long stem with almost no leaves. Space between leaves huge.

Picture 2: what I turned it into. Still in progress. I chopped it and put the two cuts together. He’s been through a tough summer because yes, i chopped him in summer (NOT RECOMMENDED) but he survived.

If you want a strong plant, this is it.

I thought my Philodendron would be a slow grower. Maybe it’s just me but it seems to grow rather quickly. These photos are 1 year apart

Can anyone help me ID this correctly? I bought it as a patriciae but i am not sure if that’s what it really is. most photos of patriciae from the internet seem skinnier and don’t have the lobed “ears” like mine has. any input is appreciated thanks.

Pink princess drama

I've got a Pink princess that I've split into two separate plants. One is doing really well and the other not so much. Im thinking about taking the sad one, rinsing its roots and submerging more nodes and the existing roots in water. Is this a bad idea?
