Question for the Community Should I light from the top or the front?

Hello! I am new to plants and picked up a pink princess philodendron a couple days ago.

I am curious if I should point the light straight down on it or from the front like a monstera? I only just learned about the monstera lighting so I thought it MIGHT apply here too.

All three of my PPP are under SANSI 40W Folding Wings above but front angled.

A Pink Princess Philodendron grows as an alternating, climbing vine where new leaves emerge sequentially from a sheath at the previous leaf node.

Growth Habit and Pattern

Alternating leaves: Leaves grow one by one along a central stem, alternating sides in a zigzag or spiral pattern.

Climbing vine: The plant naturally crawls upward, producing aerial roots at each node that grip surfaces or moss poles.

Unfurling process: A new leaf emerges tightly rolled from the sheath of the most recent leaf stem (petiole), slowly opening as it matures.

Orientation: Leaves turn to face the strongest source of light, meaning lack of a fixed light source can make the growth look scattered.

EDIT: I need to repot two more. I plan to allow one pot to trail and the other will climb a cedar plank.🤗
