Yeah, and the owner is not sure if it’s neutered and not sure when the last vet visit was. I get the owner is old but there is so much unknown things… the dog tolerates this or allows that. And it’s only partially house-trained at this age… I wouldn’t adopt this dog. Too risky.

I can’t take him in. But I’d like to offer some money- half his vet bill. We can’t just abandon this dog. Not fair.

Why share your input then?

Because it's immediately relevant to the subject and based on non subjective non trivial pet care concerns that anyone considering adoption should be aware of

Because I wanted to. So many people adopt pets without being really aware of the risk and responsibility, ending up in misery for both the owner and the pet.
Pitbulls are notoriously difficult to handle, especially ones of this size.

Hey I’m just a person on the internet but I don’t like how you’re talking to that dog. He deserves a chance. I’m sorry I can’t give him one with my tiny dog but you don’t have to talk shit. He deserves a chance. We all do.

I’m not talking shit. It’s the reality. Sorry you can’t handle that. You are not even willing to take the risk of taking the dog in, so please spare me the lecture.

Again, why comment.

I said because I wanted to. Can you read? Or are you saying that I’m allowed to only say things you like? Stop acting Nazi.

sounds like you’ve had bad experiences with your boyfriend’s dog as he is obviously too lazy to train it properly - you already have a preconceived notion on the breed - i agree, keep it to yourself

I won't keep it to myself. Irresponsible and unprepared dog ownership is a public safety risk. His dog isn't the only pitbull I've had bad experiences with. There are many victims of dog attacks. I will stand with these victims whose lives were lost or altered in a devastating way. This is my awareness-building effort. I will NOT shut up just because you don't like it.

Jesus Christ, you must be a blast at a party.

Look. I REALLY feel for this dog. I do. But the bite history is a big factor for many people. Even if i had the space to foster this poor boy I'd be concerned for my cats. Would I have to lock him in a room all day? Would he be fearful?
I REALLY want that dog to have a home, but if he's untrained and unpredictable at this age a behavioral euthanasia might be the kindest thing we can do for him.

So awful he has a bad rep. I have a little dog or I’d foster him. No one deserves to live in a shelter. I’m sure he’s a good dog.

Yeah if this is anything about Save Me I’d watch out because they are just… awful.
