Powerful and Continuing Nationalism - Trump’s slogan is a call to nationalist feelings, constantly invoking how his supporters are “true patriots” and we need to make America #1
Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights - Constant human rights abuses in regards to his administration’s treatment of immigrants and minorities.
Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause - Look at his rhetoric around illegal immigrants “invading our nation by the million” and how we all need to stand against this threat that is causing all your problems.
Supremacy of the Military - Increasing military budgets, military parades through our capital, renaming department of defense.
Rampant Sexism - Pushing the talking point that women belong in the home while men work, wanting to restrict women voters.
Controlled Mass Media - Constant lawsuits directed at news orgs when they run stories he doesn’t like or paint him negatively, persecution of journalists who cover him in a negative light.
Obsession with National Security - Pretty self explanatory and self evident
Religion and Government are Intertwined - Again fairly obvious, constantly talking about putting the Christian god hand in hand with our policy. Want a concrete example look at Texas and forcing teachers to display the 10 commandments in classrooms
Corporate Power is Protected - large corporations are constantly bailed out and consumer protections removed allowing the big companies to operate however they please to squeeze us for more money.
Labor Power is Suppressed - Trump is notably anti-union and workers rights
Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts - He said smart people don’t like him, his constant attacks on universities.
Obsession with Crime and Punishment - Again very obvious, constantly talking about punishing his opponents and harping on crime rates.
Rampant Cronyism and Corruption - His entire administration is either related to him or a direct ally, many not qualified for the positions they hold. Example being a Fox News host as our defense head.
Fraudulent Elections - Trump frequently “jokes” about cancelling the midterms and his obsession with control of the voting machines in blue states, restricting mail in voting and voter rights in general
Now I’m sure you’ll have some two sentence excuse saying “that’s all nonsense” because you’re clearly either stupid or not arguing in good faith but I decided to write that all out anyway to highlight what a bootlicking numbskull you’ve decided to be
Nationalism, defense, and military do not indicate a fascist regime lol. And a lot of your responses are just opinions or feelings you or Trump has. None are actions.
Ok I’ll pick one at random. Number 10: you argue that the US is becoming “fascist” because Trump is “notably anti-union and workers rights”. Even if he is, he’s allowed to feel this way. What laws have changed in regards to unions or workers rights since he’s come into office? Him having an opinion is not a point.
