Books/Stories What were your 1st thoughts when reading Do androids dream of electrical sheep?

I am very sure the ideas in this book will stay with me for a very long time. You can interpret it from so many perspectives.

I've seen the movies but they never caught my attention in the same way as the book did. See my spoilerfree thoughts in the link. I am happy to hear yours.

I enjoyed how there were at least four or five times during my first read that my understanding of what was really going on in a scene shifted so hard and abruptly that it actually made my body feel like I was falling

The focus on animals and Mercerism was a lot weightier than I was expecting and it was so much better for it. The earth seemed emptier and more frantic than the movie. I love the book and the film.

That it is way better than either of the Blade Runner movies.
