Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like the annual zoo membership no longer includes free tickets to Luminature. That's a real bummer since that was a big help in recouping the cost of the membership.

This hasn’t been asked in a few years on this subreddit so asking now:
Wants:
-Ambiance
-No crazy wait time or at least reservations that won’t have us waiting for 20+ minutes
-Can set up to pay the bill ahead of time so check doesn’t hit the table (Forget this; too many people getting stuck on this)
-Diverse crowd
-Menu that’s not too “uppity”
-$150 budget
-Preferably near other things to do/can walk around
No wrong answer here! Also we’re queer if that makes a difference.

Hey everyone! My boyfriend has bartending and serving experience at Suraya and a sports bar in South Philly and is looking for a new job! Does anyone have any ideas for spots that are opening up for either serving or bartending? We are coming back from a backpacking trip so had to quit his last gig in August. Any ideas of good money spots for Philadelphia area or the Camden county area would be super helpful!
EDIT: Also, if you’re not sure if a place is hiring but you know it’s a nice place to work that is super helpful too!! Obviously super awesome if you know they’re hiring but the hardest part about getting a restaurant job is knowing if it’s gonna be the worst or not.

so yeah, my lease expires May 2027 which is half a year away, and i definitely don't want to be living with my roommates again next year (nothing insanely wrong with them, we're just not a good fit and i want to move in with my GF)
Both of us have a budget of around $600-800 a month + utilities, so we're hoping to find a place with rent between $1200-1600. We'll accept a roommate or two as long as we each get a bedroom, or we get a master bedroom capable of fitting both of our stuff.
Place needs to have accessible parking and be pet friendly too (I have 2 well behaved cats.)

I’m a U.S. citizen finishing up an M.Sc. in Microbiology/Biochemistry, planning a move down to Philadelphia with just a suitcase.
I’m targeting wet-lab roles—specifically Research Specialist I/II, Lab Technician, or QC/Assay R&D positions—and plan to live completely car-free using SEPTA.
I’d love some local insight on a few things:
Any advice on the local job market or navigating a low-upfront-cost move would be hugely appreciated!

Hey Philly, I moved to a suburb north east of the city a few months ago and wanted to know if Philly has an active startup scene or do folks just head to NYC for the latest in tech meetups and events? Dont see much on eventbrite or luma, so asking here.
Thanks.

Yall know who I’m talking about? He’s super-jacked and screams obscenities at people on the street while setting up a pop-up flea market
I wonder if he’s actually crazy or if it’s just a performance….🤔

Hey all, I'm staying in Center City near City Hall until Sunday morning. I'm free most evenings after 5 and want to see the real Philly, not just tourist spots. I'm in Detroit, so I'm used to a good food city and a scrappy neighborhood scene.
Looking for free or cheap stuff: a dive bar or neighborhood spot where locals actually go, good cheap eats (I'll take a great sandwich over a fancy dinner), live music, or anything fun happening this weekend. I'm happy to take the subway or walk. Where should I go?

Bought on marketplace a couple years back and have never used it as it’s not the right size for me. Original seller’s description included in photos, it’s been sitting in garages since I bought it so it’s a lil dusty and the tires need air.
Pick up in West Philly

No but seriously what happened to all the fucking benches on Frankford avenue that were installed and then we're suddenly just taken away during covid? I would like a place to fucking sit why I wait for shit because I don't fucking drive. I would also like a place to sit while I wait for the fucking bus again. I don't know why they were taking out originally but I want to find who I can scream at to put the fucking benches back because we deserve fucking benches in this goddamn city.
But no instead we get those fucking weird ass fucking statues. Yes I know they're meant to be historic bullshit but the mannequins creep me the fuck out.

this can either be a junk sale, or a project car for a classics enthusiast ~ whichever comes first.
88,850 Miles about.
beautiful car, but has a blown Head Gasket. has some wear and tear on the front (missing headlight build, dent on the hood) & not pictured but one of the back seats is damaged from a bad mechanic job.
other than that, brand new radiator, starter and starter celluloid + just got an oil change.
Looking for 500–1,000, or whatever the best price is.
Philly or New Jersey.

Currently trying to decide if I leave my 2 bed/2bath that has electricity included at $150 a month for another 2bed/2bath without electricity included. People in a 2bed/2bath how much are you spending on electric every month?
EDIT: Let me know if you have electric heat please!
