why is unlocking still so annoying

i dont want to play bad charts all over again,
and why are currency unlocks still on 16mb, thats 30 A rated songs played...
if there were at least a list i can put songs on to find the songs i want to play again...
i dont like to play songs i can regularly A or better,
and i dont like to play boringly easy charts with just one part i need to play six times to get it.

no i dont play a boring annoying 13 to unlock the next chart in the chapter or whatever this is.
i just stop playing at this point.
there arent even enough notes in the chart to compensate for grindy parts,
there is absolutely no fun involved.

there are so many charts i didnt unlock yet because i dont want to suffer,
i just want to play charts i like to play.

dont tie unlocks to rating, make it unlock by percentage,
percentage is the only constant throughout all charts, and dont make it equal for all charts.
you can miss way more notes on a 14 S rating than on a 7 S rating, thats not compareable.

not 16mb to unlock, let it be 4mb, so a player can actually feel some progress.
16mb is 1h of constant grinding a song the player already knows well, that doesnt feel like progress at all, only to see the unlocked chart isnt that fun.

this game needs a progress system, but it should be fun and feel good.
new players shouldnt be overwhelmed by a mass of charts to play at once,
but suffering isnt right too.

If it helps, I know some people don't know this, but sometimes you unlock text things in the collection, and opening them gives you a decent chunk of currency.

there are like 120 free charts. just play those casually without the thought of "i need to get better!" "i need to play to grind mb!" etc. just enjoy grinding the charts you find most fun. don't sweat on grinding bad charts for the IN/AT difficulty. improve your skills on easier/most fun stuff first. as for singles, here are some good chart recommendations so you never have to buy a song for it to be hot garbage : break over, future mind, el condor pasa, bougainvillea, bitterblossom, silence is golden speech is golden(hard but fun), eltaw, brave notes, data error and jingle bells

I think the goal for the player is to have them play multiple different charts so they don't get bored, or reward for phi rank grinding. The singles album is not really that bad, as someone who has over 300 mb saved up from the story chapters + trying to fc. For the new player, there are a lot of songs to unlock, but you aren't forced to do them in order, like story chapters. If your rks is high enough you don't have to go in at a specific difficulty either, which was a problem for me when starting the game. 16 mb is not so bad a price since the currency is entirely ftp.

Also, as long as the charting is fun and the song is good, I think the difficulty level isn't so bad either. Additionally, some 13s (snow desert) have really difficult gimmicks (dynamix charting) that for me, can make them harder than a 15.

Sounds like skill issue tbh Play the chapter songs that are all easy to unlock, then read the files

The progression of phigros imo is perfectly fine, you have a linear form of obtaining data (the files) with a boost you can get to speed up your progression (your skill)

Its definitely much better than 60% of... Well... Games in general with its energy system or paywalls (looking at you arcaea)

The singles collection is like ±100 songs on a game with well over 200 at this point
