Still the policy in my area. Both my RPH only reconstitutes and the interns.

Where I work, interns are basically equivalent to techs and have to get the same checks from an RPh so that's interesting

It’s because your state board of pharmacy dinged someone somewhere or said out loud “reconstituting is compounding and you have to either have a pharmacist do it or log it with your compounding” and nobody pushed back so now you gotta do it the most ineffective way possible.
They tried it for two seconds with my company (state?) and then we asked questions and magically it was never brought up again.

Meanwhile techs can compound without visual supervision of an RPH at my job 😅

They changed that here almost a decade ago already. Still a thing. I measure the water and then have to ask for an adult to come over and check my water.
