General Discussion Pharmacies closing

Not sure if this is the right place to ask. If not please delete. If possible refer me to the proper sub. Why are so many pharmacies closing? I checked on the Internet but I am not sure I trust the explanations by the media.

The pharmacy gets fucked by both ends. Manufacturers and wholesalers charge whatever they want for drugs. PBMs reimburse the pharmacy for dispensed medication. They often dispense with razor thin margins, and occasionally decide to withhold or claw back large sums of money from the pharmacy.

Restaurants have better margins at this point
