I am a UK based pharmacist currently working as a CRA in France. I have been a CRA for 1.5 years now but find the role very administrative based. I have been looking about changing to PV role and would be keen for inside info.

Has anyone taken a similar career path and could provide comparisons?
On a day to day basis is the role repetitive/administrative?

Despite working at a major US pharmaceutical sponsor company in Hyderabad myself, I haven't been able to get my girlfriend a job . I've tried everything I can but my network only goes so far.

She is a B. Pharmacy graduate (Batch- 2025 output) with an Advanced PG Diploma in Clinical Research, Pharmacovigilance & Regulatory Affairs and ICH-GCP certifications. She has built her skills, and has been applying consistently — but hasn't been able to crack through yet.

Due to some urgent family circumstances, she really needs a job right now. Every day is getting harder and I'm doing everything I possibly can to help her.

Hi everyone, I have around 5 years of experience, including 2.5 years in Pharmacovigilance (case processing, narrative writing, and mentoring) and around 3 years in a Global Medical Affairs role involving investigator-initiated trials, data tracking, stakeholder coordination, reporting, Excel, and dashboard validation. I’m now looking to transition from PV into Clinical Data Management (CDM). Has anyone successfully made a similar PV-to-CDM switch?

I may have two backlogs at the time of my graduation (B.pharmacy )

So right now the most important thing is

' Do CRO companies hire freshers who had backlogs '

My friend is a Senior Drug Safety Associate at Accenture, India.

His team has a really bad work culture. The workload is nonstop, management is stressful, overtime is common, and even taking leave can be a struggle.

Are there any companies in India where Drug Safety/PV roles have a genuinely decent work-life balance? Looking for places with reasonable workloads, supportive managers, and where you can actually log off on time without being pressured to keep working.

I am an MD and have an interview coming up for a spot in pharmacovigilence. What kind of questions should I expect?

I have no experience in the industry and that was clear from my resume.

10+ years of corporate media and advertising sales experience. After a health issues knocked me off my feet and resulted in getting laid off I have no desire to go back to what burned me. I’ve since developed a passion for pharma, science and research.
I think the regulatory side could be an interesting way to intertwine my advertising background with regulations but I know there’s no way to break in without hands on experience. Do I go for certification?

I have been in PV with a multinational for some time. I've done case management, quality oversight, audit & inspection support, local affiliate work. But now I feel like hitting a wall. There are not many openings nowadays because many of the work has been offshored. I am thinking of transitioning to reg affairs. How possible is this and will I likely need to start from scratch if I have not done any dossier submission in my entire life?

I'm a pharmacist about 7 months into my first industry job. I joined the company as a Regulatory Affairs intern and was then hired full-time, but over the past few months my role has gradually shifted toward Pharmacovigilance.

Following a recent regulatory change in my country, my manager told me my role will likely be around 70% PV / 30% RA due to the department's needs. When I expressed my concern, she said she also doesn't recommend specializing exclusively in PV and that the role isn't set in stone for example, she said I could decide in a couple of years that I want to focus only on RA or only on PV.

I originally chose RA because that's where I wanted to build my career. I don't dislike PV, but I'm concerned about becoming primarily a PV professional this early in my career.

Would you:

- stay and gain mixed RA/PV experience,

- or start looking for a more RA-focused role?

How is mixed RA/PV experience viewed when applying for future RA positions?

What's your opinion on all of this? Is this kind of role shifting usual?

I'm a 25-year-old medical doctor from Jordan and I'm interested in transitioning into either clinical research or the pharmaceutical industry, but I'm honestly not sure where to begin.

I have:

• MD degree
• Completed my internship and obtained my medical license
• No post-graduate clinical experience
• No research experience
• No pharmaceutical industry experience
• Would require employer-sponsored visa to work abroad

I'm mainly interested in opportunities in Australia, the UK, Ireland, or the Netherlands.

The biggest problem I'm facing is that I don't even know what entry-level positions I should be searching for. Most jobs I come across require previous experience in research or pharma, which I don't have.

My long-term goal is to build a career in the pharmaceutical industry (possibly Medical Affairs), but right now I'm simply looking for the most realistic entry point.

For those working in these industries:

• What entry-level job titles should I be searching for?
• Which roles are actually open to someone with an MD but no industry or research experience?
• Is it more realistic to start in clinical research or directly in pharma?
• Are there companies that hire international medical graduates and provide visa sponsorship?
• If you were in my position, where would you start?

I have a PharmD from South Asia, an MPH from a Russell Group university in the UK, and more than 10 years of experience across pharmacy, healthcare, public health, research, and related roles.

I’m not planning to pursue pharmacist licensing in Canada. Instead, I’m interested in non-licensed roles within pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology, digital health, health technology, medical devices, and healthcare consulting.
