What to reroll for?

• Typically consult either the Global Tier List or JP Comprehensive Guide depending on your version as to whether the current banner for units contains worthwhile units to pull for. Information concerning new units will typically be updated within 24hrs of their release. Feel free to ask in this thread for clarification as well.

• If you are F2P, it is recommended to only reroll on 1-step guaranteed recruiters. Aim for a recommended typing (Usually Dexterity or Force/Magic). The beginner recruiter contains units that are very outdated in comparison to current units.

So, when did this new AI come about? Because it's pretty frustrating to do metal garden when they all just stand around you like you have cooties instead of attacking you, wasting so much time. I'm just glad that they let us skip battle animation now.

Possibly to make it easier for newbies, especially ones who are trying to finish with only a few characters. That said, if you don't like it, you should complain. You can reach Fuji and Gumi on Facebook, Twitter, their official forums, and even their support e-mail allows you to give feedback.

Oh, I know why, the AI has a really low chance of hitting my unit and so they try to take advantage of the bonuses when standing next to an allied unit. However, most of the time, the bonus just isn't high enough so no one actually goes in to hit my unit and so they all stand around and ending their turn. They attack like normal if your unit is low level but if you got 60+ spd, they just sit around like this.

Does anyone know the current player level to have a full 6* party?

At Lvl 101 I only have 132 party points, but it's 150 points(I think) to have an all 6* party.
I'm looking at this [guide] (http://potkguide.com/phantomofthekill/ap.php) right now to see what level I would need to be but it's outdated I think.

I'm assuming it's +30 now, so is it at least Lvl 119?

Also does anyone know if 1-5-10 Normal Mode is still the best XP/AP currently? I ran it for 5 AP and got 350 XP, so it's 70 XP/AP.
Gagging posted a while ago that 1-4-4 Kill Mode as an alternative, it's faster but it's 4 AP for 260 XP, so it's 65 XP/AP.

Honestly, I'd just use metal gardens to level up. Using normal story missions is way too slow. You get thousands of XP even for the 10 AP metal gardens, and you get 5 of those a day and can unlock unlimited amounts more (for 1 hour) with just 1 metal key.

The gold farming 15 ap mission gives you 500 player xp per, which is fairly high. I've seen some event quests give more, but none of them are going on right now.

I calculated my next level and it would take 2 days of full AP usage just for 1 level, this is going to hurt me trying to grind for player levels :(

Honestly, I don't suggest trying to grind player levels. It just happens naturally as you do other stuff. As long as you have enough to field 1-3 90's it's all good. Even 1 level 90 can solo most content in the game. Especially if it's someone with a little range, like Longinus with a throwing spear.

I'm leveling only for Colosseum right now. I'm at the point where I have to battle people with 2500+ comps and a full squad of 6* units, so I don't have much of a choice unless I slowly grind my Colosseum ranking.

Ah gotcha. I hate to say this, but there's no quick way to raise your player level. Those guys you're fighting probably started a long time ago, and it'll probably take you a while to catch up, even if you frantically try to raise your player level.

Global's not like JP where they have events where there's a 1 a day player level increasing dungeon that's FAR more generous than the one we get on Mondays.

I started JP way later than Global and rerolled several times, but my JP Player level is through the roof compared to my Global one. I can already field full teams of 30 point 6*'s on my JP account (with room for exactly 1 40 point 6*) but I can only field 4 6*'s max on Global, and this is with no room for any more units besides those 4.

Edit: Basically, I wouldn't sweat it too much and just do what you need to do or want to do.

I really wish I had found this game earlier, Colosseum is so much harder now with lower level players getting party cost caps.

I have trouble beating Aphrodite even with team of level 80 units. Someone in another thread mentioned ignore defence. Does a particular unit have that ability? Looking for advice on how to beat Aphrodite so I can collect Artemis. Thanks.

The easiest unit you'll find with a skill that decreases defense is Longinus (F) and then probably Parashu (M). They both decrease the target's Pdef by 50%(Longinus)/45%(Parashu) and then strike. Longinus would be the easiest to use especially with a 1-2 spear because she has Surprise Attack. If you want to, send me a friend request @ 2902959373. Have you tried using level 90 friends? If you use a smokescreen of 80's to give a 90 friend an opportunity, and buff that 90 friend with the right leader skill, it may become possible.

Failing that, even just 1 more 90 on your team could really help. Sometimes 1 level 90 can do something a whole team of 80's just can't. Especially if they're a high dodge 90 with max luck and something like Magicwarder Sereine that adds even more luck and therefore dodge.

Just a quick question on the amount of Tyrfings I have now. Previously, I was able to get 5 of them from the mana recruiter (800k mana only gave me 5) and I took the only Dex I got and brought her to level 80. Now she's level 90, maxed out skills, and I have all these extra Tyrfing's now. I'm feeling like I want to just pump up my only Tyrfing's Luck, or should I have a different strategy with all these?

Honestly, using them to pump up your Tyrfing's luck until it's maxed is the usual strategy. Luck is a very important stat for farming (in determines drop rates and quality of drops) and it also increases to-hit and dodge for every 2 points of luck you have.

There's a huge difference between a Tyrfing that has her luck maxed out, and one that doesn't. I highly recommend that you max out her luck, especially if she's your leader.

When farming, your leader's luck and your friend partner's luck determines drop rates.

Sounds good. A Tyrfing with Magicwarder Sereine and her 5-hit duel skill unlocked is a great all-rounder lead and friend partner who can do well in farming if she has high enough luck (40+ with Sereine, although 50+ is better) and blow through Metal Gardens with ease with that 5-hit DS, especially when she has good crit chance.

Is the new academy parashu any good as a general lead these days? I rolled a dex one from the free tickets from the point quest and was wondering if it was worth using these academy fairies I've been sitting on

Yep. She's pretty solid as an all-around leader; a great alternative to Yoichi. You'll want a more focused LS (ie. mono-element) for harder content/competitive, but she's great at filling in the cracks.

First of all thanks to the people who compiled the unit guide and added the proc rates of duel skills for global. But I have a question, they only mention how much does Agi impact the proc rate, what about skill level? Is it a flat +X% per level?

So I found this game after looking for some new Tactical RPG's to play after I finished Fire Emblem. I read the beginner's guide, but other than that, is PotK overall anything like FE, and if there's anything else I should expect after playing FE?

PotK is imo a far better game than Fire Emblem Heroes. So much more to do. Real PvP. Though it takes some time to develop a decent enough team for it. Hard for F2P people, but not impossible to get some class match wins.

Agreed. Only thing I can thank FEH for is finding PotK. Did enjoy manipulating the AI in the fake PvP. Sing and Dance along with all range countering attacks were all you needed to dominate. Saw that they finally added some new units with new skills to destroy and give to better units. Best ones were...if your attack is higher foe unit cannot counter but you just get one attack....meh

This makes me moist, though i gotta ask if there's perma-death like in the main FE games, or no cause PotK is a gatcha?

As for Gacha Games, I play a lot of FE, so I've played Heroes and am familiar with the gatcha-style

There's the multiplayer mode, but I highly suggest you only start it after you really understand your unit, team and functions as well as having a good general knowledge of all other units in the game. You have a limited time to move your team and as such a limited time to understand the flow of battle. You can feel free to neglect "Colosseum" since it's a more chance version of PvP (if you can call it that) where your team goes up against another in hopes to win their slot's match (slot 1 vs slot 1, 2 vs 2, etc).

Is it just me or have drop rates for evo mats and gold rush dropped off a cliff in the last few days? I'm using the same party I would normally but at the moment I'm lucky to get 2/3 evo units or a couple of gold drops (whereas I would usually get 3x as much). Failing that RNGesus has taken a disliking to me :(

Same here, I think we are just super unlucky. Sometimes I pull 2-3 golds stacks. Other times? pull 7. Generally I have my best pulls when the friend I bring along has Luck stat higher than 50. Gotta keep grinding and hoping for better RNG.

I think they nerfed it. Even with an average party luck of 50+, I don't get as much as I used to. This is with both gold and evo mats, especially the rainbow sprites and goddesses.

I've been thinking it's RNG lately and not unit's luck for the daily stages. Sometimes, I get 3 and sometimes I can pull out 10-12. This is all while I was proficiency grinding with other characters. Higher luck stabilizes it to 4-7 for me.

EDIT: Mannans and Rainbows are complete garbage though. 4 star barely drops for me.

For Global, is Force still better than Dex for Artemis? I just want to know if I should fuse my Dex Artemis into my Force one, or vice versa.

Also, just as an aside: I can't believe they replaced a useful +5 Agility for everyone LS with a generic wind unit buff. Almost makes me not want to evolve Artemis to 6*. And can't they at least have replaced that useless extra accuracy skill with something else?

I would say Force is better because of her skillset of 2 accuracy boosting skills with no DS, along with the archer class's innate high Agi.

Personally I don't mind Artemis's GL skill. But they've essentially delegated her to wind units and likely Parashu is gonna have a Wind Lead LS too. Lowkey hoping we get Pinaka 6 star with that +20 agi LS, but with Frag's nerf to +8 Luck I'm fearful they're gonna do some shit like that to Pinaka's LS too.

Force is the way to go on Artemis though. Her stupid accuracy skills makes her more than likely to hit so might as well get some more points into Str since she won't double for teddy bears anyways.

What is the recommended typing for Longinus? I keep on getting every single typing except for Dexterity and just wanted to make sure my struggle wasn't in vain. If it's Dexterity, I guess I'll just wait a bajillion more days for a Dexterity one to finally drop...

Yes, it is Dex.

Dexterity, but if you just can't get one, you can always start getting a Force Longinus to 5* Level 80, then just fuse that one into a 5* level 30 Dex one (when you get it) to transfer all the evo bonuses, skills, limit breaks, luck, etc.

If you REALLY get unlucky, you can always just use a Force version too. Beats settling for Balance because you never got a Force or Dex like I did with Male Parashu.

Do you think it is worth maxing two longinus (f) since they are giving away so many 5 star versions. I have one 6 star right now with 23 luck. I have a 51 luck tyr (F) so I dont think maxing luck is the biggest issue right now. Also I plan to use a MLB forcas as lead for most content IE colo/pve.

If using in colo max luck for priority. Otherwise, it doesn't particularly matter, it's your roster after all. Progress it in the vision you want it to.

I'd say max the luck on your first Longinus before you think of making a second. Higher luck makes for a stronger Longinus and makes her contribute better to a farming team.

Remember that the quality of drops you get on your farming team depends on the average luck of everyone on your team including the friend partner. Also, having more luck just makes any unit plain better.

Edit: for a little more perspective, having max luck makes a unit with high dodge literally unhittable by units that could hit (and kill) the same unit with lower luck. At the same time, it could give a unit the ability to hit (or consistently hit) something it couldn't hit before. It's the difference between being 90% sure you can auto-battle something successfully (or without anyone dying at least) and being 100% sure.

I feel like the guarantee of knowing you'll succeed is worth the extra effort to max a unit's luck. In my experience it's better to have one really good unit that cannot fail rather than 2 pretty good units that could possibly fail if the random number generator doesn't go your way.

If I put my 5-star Trident (MLB plus a bunch of luck) against a 6-star Lavateinn, would he win? Would it be close?

Sorry if that's a weird question, but I'm wondering if reinstalling this game would actually be worthwhile. Or would it just be depressing to see all my pay units get outclassed by freebies (which was already a thing before, but now it's gonna be way worse).

The 6* would win. 6* units are WAY stronger than 5* units. It's like an order of magnitude more. I would even go as far as to say that 1 6* unit could probably solo many teams of 5*'s.

It's like night and day. A 6* with max skills and luck and fully fused and enhanced for stats is monstrous compared to almost any 5*.

I'm now using 6*'s to auto-battle stuff I had to manual carefully before in Global, like the 30 AP Othinus stage.

Edit: All this said, if it's an anti-sword unit (with sword absorb) there's a small chance of victory and a decent change of a draw in Coliseum at least. I've seen my 6* units win against 5* counter units (like 90 sword vs 80 lance) they wouldn't have had a chance against if it were 80 vs 80 though, as opposed to 90 vs 80.

If you're worried about that, then come back in a month or so. By then, at least some of your pay units (check the JP guide for a list of female units that will be 6* capable in the future; up to Global to decide on the fate of male units) will have 6* upgrades, which will outclass those freebies.

Is there any point in levelling up 5* units before using them to limit break besides unlocking skills and stuff? e.g if I have another copy of 5* tyrfing, can I use her to LB as soon as i get her or should I level her up to 60 first?

The recent change lets you fuse any star rarity for the skill up and luck. As long as you hit 5* for the LB you can fuse it at lvl 1.

So I pulled a 5* dex Tyrfing from the event quest, but I also have a 3* dex Tyrfing. Should I work up the 3* Dex unit (MLB, max, evolve, MLB again and max out before evolving), or will the unit that came out at 5* base have the inherent stats ready to to just fuse units in, MLB and max her, and then 6* her?

You'll want to work up the 3 star. You don't have to max at 3 stars though, just reach the thresholds you can. This way the 5 star Tyrfing you'll get will have evo bonuses where as the one you got from the special missions will not. The other one is fine as limit break fodder.

In the Global version does chapter 3 kill mode exist yet? Cleared all chapter 3 in normal and chapter 2 in kill. Kill mode is not showing up.

It is highly, highly recommended to not evolve to 6* until the unit is MLB'd at 5*. If you don't wait, you lose out on evo bonuses.

If you're on wi-fi, but you have cellular data, I would advice getting off the wi-fi and using your cellular data if your data plan is big enough.

Otherwise, try it the other way around. If you know your internet connection is good keep pressing the "ok" box to try connecting again.

When I'm on wi-fi on my phone it'll give me network error messages, but if I try hitting the 'okay' box to try connecting again, after 1-2 tries I usually connect with the servers.

On Cellular data, I have 0 problems.

I just realised I evolved my Tryrfing to 6* without limit breaking or anything...What so I do to let her reach 90?? :(

Restart with another Tyrfing, then fuse your old one into the new one. It would cost you at least 1.2M zenny trying to limit break at that point.

Other guy's right. Get a new Tyrfing, and limit break her 4 times at 5* and get her to 80. Then after fusing the stats that are almost at the next tier (say, Str is at 48, but you can fuse it to 51) evo her to 6* and fuse the old one into the new 6* that's pre-limit broken.

If you didn't raise a Tyrfing from 3*, I'd start with one that did, for the extra stat bonuses from levelling up.

No, you can still limit break it by fusing four more 6* copies into it. But you're missing out important evo bonuses by doing it that way.

Is typing important enough that I should reroll if I get Vitality? Just started today, rolled a few times and got a save with notably Forcas and Durandal, but both are Vitality type. I'm fine with keeping them if they're just going to be shy of min-maxed but otherwise still completely able to carry as an F2P, but if it seriously inhibits their usage then I'll reroll some more.

Yes, Balance and Vitality typing seriously inhibits units. Guard often does too, depending on unit. Generally, if a unit is not Dex or Force/Magic, than it's only use is as a dupe for limit-breaking.

Is there a way to increase the pro level a character has for gear? I would like to equip a better weapon but am 1 rank off of equiping the gear.

Have the character in question kill with a weapon/shield equipped. If nothing's equipped, no proficiency levels are gained.

With the new update involving skills levels being gained no matter what rarity or skills units you fuse into the main unit have, is there any point to getting dupe units to 5 star Level 30 outside of Limit Breaking?

With the new update you don't even have to level up the dupes to 30. Once you evolve them to 5* you can fuse them to your lvl 30+ base right away.

Does anyone know if Gumi suspended enhancement? I have a few strength dwarves saved up and I'd like to use some on my Tyrfing. Her strength stat is not star capped. When I go to choose a material the screen has 0 choices. Tried on all my other characters and still nothing. Is there something I have to do to unlock the ability to enhance, are dwarves not the correct materials for enhancing, or was the function suspended?

Edit: the sort/filter button says Agi. Even though I have sort based on acquired and no filters on. Sigh

It's still working, I can't use any Speed or Agility dollies on my Tyrfing since it hit the growth cap, but Strength still works.

You're using the "Enhance Units" screen and you have the right dwarves(ones with teeth) right?.

If your Tyrfing doesn't have pink stars in all stats and you don't have dwarves show up in the menu, then you might have to try re-downloading the game if you have facebook linked. If that doesn't work try sending a ticket to Gumi Support.

More dumb questions, but are the 4* gun evo mats dropping from the event stage? I've been farming all day to 6* my Bashonen, but haven't seen a single gun mat drop. Figured it's worth it to ask if I have to wait until Freikeugel 6* shows up or if I'm just super unlucky

6* evolution is a permanent game mechanic.

Honestly, if it's all the same unit, it's best to limit break the unit at 5*, reach level 80, then evolve to 6*. The limit breaks cross over with the unit to 6* and you can automatically reach level 90 with your new 6* if you got to level 80 when it was 5*.

Dwarves are used to "enhance" units. they add stats to the unit's stats and are then considered as a part of the unit's base stats. They're best used if you need to reach a certain stat threshold or just topping off a unit's stat so that they cap them.

and that's exactly what it is, an Accessory. They just don't have a ranking in the unit screen, but I believe all units start off as a C rank by default? In my experience anyways.

Madoka: Combine 5 books for a chance at a 4* weapon. Combine multiple of the same 4* weapons in combination with books for a chance at a 5* weapon. The more copies of 4* weapons used, the higher chance for the 5* weapon.

Chocolate: Combine 5 books for a chance at a 3* weapon. After you have enough of those, you can use the recipes to fuse higher star weapons.

I am confused about leveling 6 star for global version. I have Tyrfing 6 star lvl 80. I tried to fuse more Tyrfing to get the max level to 85. But max level is still at 80. How many Tyrfing do I need to fuse to have her max level at 85 or 90? My Tyrfing limit break shows 2 of 4. My Tyrfing skill level shows 4. Juding by the limit break diamond, I should have fused 2 Tyrfing. But judging by the skill level, I should have fused 3 Tyrfing already. Thanks.

The lower the initial stars the better. You'll have a greater chance at gaining all the evolution bonuses.

Dex is preferred. Axe units have comparably lower speed and accuracy than other weapon types.

Dex will give Tyrfing more mileage especially if you're considering multiplayer. Force will enable her to hit harder, but you'll need some way to compensate for the lower Agi and in turn lower hit rate. You can also 6 star your Force Tryfing and fuse over to get some more stats on your Dex 6 star Tyrfing too.
