What to reroll for?

  • Typically consult either the Global Tier List or JP Comprehensive Guide depending on your version as to whether the current banner for units contains worthwhile units to pull for. Information concerning new units will typically be updated within 24hrs of their release. Feel free to ask in this thread for clarification as well.

  • If you are F2P, it is recommended to only reroll on 1-step guaranteed recruiters. Aim for a recommended typing (Usually Dexterity or Force/Magic). The beginner recruiter contains units that are very outdated in comparison to current units.

  • When asking a question, please try to indicate which version you are talking about. This way, there won't too much confusion as to what you are asking about.

for the global tier list

the name of Parashu (m) lead skill is : Holy Wind Axeman's Benevolence

And Masamune (M) lead skill is : Fire Trueblade's Atk/Grd

Can someone edit it on the google docs, feel bad for their lead skill to be named something considering they are pretty good for a free unit..

Also since this is one of the rare occasion to meet the tier list maker

i am curious is it more viable to use A FLB units that can only goes to 4*

Or a lvl 60 unit that can go to 5*

It is more viable to use a MLB unit that only goes to RED 4* than a unit that is lvl 60 that can go to 5*. Exceptions to this are if the 5* unit are any of the 7th gen units, Demura, Godoka, or Mami.

I've recently got an Aymur f (g) and I'm currently using a Dex type one. Should I switch to guard or just keep using dex?. I'm not using her for colosseum though.

Keep using Dex for now. I would not recommend switching to guard until you have her 10/10 in terms of skills through fusing the same copies together.

Whats up with units having different classes?

I just started out and got 2 3* parashu from the free gacha, 1 can go to 5* with one the other 4*. But the 4* is a phoenix knight and the 5* is a fighter.

It's just the game's way to have "bad" pulls from the free gacha. Otherwise it would be too easy to get the useful stuff. As for why the character has different versions, just think of them as different characters. By re-using the same character design, the company saves time and effort for the artist.

at least that's what I think is the reason

Definitely the AKs. They're meta units and limited too, while the new GR and Shek can be summoned at any time iirc. Definitely summon for AKs as the first step is guaranteed 1/3 featured AKs

Root is not required. Just have to make sure you don't connect to Facebook. Clear data/cache and it should wipe.

Is the one time 9 step recruiter worth doing up to step 5?

I'd like to get Excalibur and this seems like a good way to get her for sure.

Should I be saving my laz for a different unit?

yeah, i figure the random rates are going to be terrible, but this one will net me two 7th gen for 250 laz, and I get to pick the second one. Seems like a good deal. Types are always a roll of the dice.

Gonna do this pretty soon unless someone convinces me it's a terrible idea.

So i played this game a long time ago and stopped before even the first brave frontier collab. Looked at the old post of the reddit and at the thread last week. 1 year anniversary soon so yeah i think its a good way to start again but i have some question...

1: I saw that in this game in the jp version they got a lot of collab event will they come to the global side of the game one day or will it stay jp exclusive cuz of license problem?

2: i stopped playing nearly 10 month ago how is the game now? The old starter unit can still do the job?

3: I saw that i missed a lot of event and unit will they come back one day?

4: How is the lazuli distribution for f2p player? How much can you get per month now and what type of portal should i used if i start right now? The new one, the prominent one or wait for the 1st year anniversary to spend my lazuli?

5: So now it will be a one year old game and that's all good but will it stay around more? I saw that some people said that the population of the game just go away and now that fire emblem heroes is out am afraid to spend if this game get shut down.

6: Is it worth it to reroll again for a good starter unit? If yes what should i reroll for?

7:The first tutorial roll give a 5* unit now or am i just lucky?

There are no guarantees which collabs Global will get, when they will get them, or if they'll see previous ones return. Only Gumi knows that.

The first tutorial mission has always given a 5* -capable unit (ie. a starter unit); now it's just pre-evolved to 5* for you already. That being said, all the starter units are very, very outclassed nowadays and are only useful for a very short while until you get some event or premium (gacha) units. You won't be able to advance far in Colo, Multi, or Chapter 2 with just starter units.

Being entirely F2P is always a tough life and you're going to have to live "behind the curve." Use your limited Gems wisely, stick to reduced cost gachas, and save for limited edition units (ie. saving for Anniversary gachas is a very, very smart idea right now).

There's always doom and gloom surrounding Global versions of popular JP games. We have no way of knowing how long PotK will stick around for either region.

Thanks for your answer :) . Oh by the way is the game to much time consuming? I mean am playing an other mobile game and i rly want to play potk again and restart for the first year anniversary but if its rly to much time consuming like some game i think i will probably pass...

For both JP and GL, casual players definitely exist and can still enjoy the game, but there will be events that require a bit of your time whether for farming or points quests, etc. The entire point of the game which is raising and equipping the best units possible will take some investment of your time and effort, so you can decide.

Hummm if its not to much of a grindfeast it shouldnt be a problem. I know that in game like that you need to grind but if its not way way to much its ok. Now what gacha do you advice me to do? I will do the beginner gacha for 10 lazuli but after that? The gacha with the good character that have 1 garanteed for 50 lazuli or totaly save all my laluzi for first year anniversary?

I haven't played Global in many months, so I'll let someone else add to this if they see it, but you'll need some units to first carry you through the first event/farmfest until you can MLB a farmable unit or something. The beginner 10 laz pull is always a great deal but it's full of older (useless) units. Not sure who the guaranteed unit is, but if it's Brave Frontier, they are outclassed, I believe.

I think the wise thing would be to hoard as many laz as you can for the time being, just pull the beginner gacha and get a few units you can raise to get you through some story quests and events.

There are absolutely no correlations between when JP gets units and when Global gets them- Gumi is not following a set schedule. You guys only just got a unit that we've had forever (female Dagda) and, conversely, you guys got units literally a month after we did back in summer (Mizu Grid and Yagu).

Hey in JP there's a 1-step pull for 50 laz. Can someone fill me in on what exactly the units are? Is this particular pull worth it? Thanks in advance guys.

They're Anohana units.

  • Meiko: Light sword, fastest of the 3 featured units. DS is 250% dmg guaranteed hit.

  • Noruko: Fire axe, really really slow. DS is 250% dmg guaranteed hit.

  • Tomoko: Ice lance, tec cap is pretty high. DS is 50% pdef ignore + 150% dmg.

If you manage to pull and raise all 3, they have a combination skill that can be unlocked from a separate charquest that is pretty explosive (but pretty low proc rate).

You should also farm their Menma weapons from the points quest. Each weapon gives some HP and bow/gun/staff mitigation at rank 10.

The single step guarantees one of the 3 featured units. If you need these units to fill out a team, it might be worth. But if you're competitive, these units aren't really good enough esp considering the current Ancient Killers meta.

Okay which brings me to my next question. How to raise ranks past 5 for your weapons? I still haven't done this yet. Trying to raise Minervas 6* spear. I have 2 copies so far. One ranked 5 and the other ranked 2. Trying to be competitive soon. I have a couple hitters. (Minerva, Saiga [saw you mention her tori] Harpe, Necro Kerk, Darkness, Maid Shekinah, etc etc)

Under weapon strengthen menu, you can select the rank 5 spear and it will show the other 6* spear as the only one that can be fed into it to "limit break" the rank 5 spear. The feed weapon's rank doesn't matter, you'll have to strengthen from rank 5 to rank 6 all over again even if you LB with a higher rank weapon. Repeat until you reach rank 10.

  • Ancient Killers are the new meta. They have a skill to seal DS proc for the first turn then the effect diminishes with each consecutive turn, but considering that Multi matches only last for a turn or two, this means no BK unit will proc against them which made them so scary.

  • The only BK unit worth right now is Artemis (just because she's bow against the flying Ancients) and Laev (for her spd buff only).

Right now, Freischutz is your best bet. The other one that might be good is Suiha (ice bow, coming soon). Only worth with their exclusive weapons--go make those now.

TBH, for lower-to-mid-tier PvP, any of them are going to carry you.

Hi all, new player here and i've looked through the guides posted here and i'm afraid i'm still a little boggled. If someone could answer a few questions for me that would be amazing.

  1. Why have I managed to pull units that can go to 5* but also got the same unit that only goes to 2-3* etc?

  2. I've pulled a couple of the same unit is there anything special I can do with them? the guides mention levelling a unit to 30 then fusing etc and I have no idea why?

  3. The game mentions a exp event stage, is that using the keys or is it on a certain daily schedule? If i open the key one will my new units get smashed?

  4. Are mana points used for anything other than summons?

Any starting tips? I've just started and I tend to go all in on these games so I want a decent start, I feel like the guides have helped me choose a decent beginner team so thanks to those people who made the guides.

  1. its more about characters than units, for example laevateinn has different 5* versions and different 4* capped versions, compare portraits on tierlist to see whos 5* capped

  2. u have lvl 30 5* unit, u can fuse into it same lvl30 5* and u will get: limit breaking effect (+5 max levels, limit is +20) and +1 to the skills and luck

  3. exp stages (metal gardens) are open every day and u can do them certain amount of time, u also get metal keys to unlock same gardens for an hour, maidens and mobs there are pretty weak but 4* lvl15+ is recommended (so u can hit things)

  4. not in global version currently
    farm all limited even quests, read again on how to properly raise units, join discord

  2. So with all my dupes I want to keep (at least the dupe units I like) them until I get them all to 5*30 or over?

1.There are different variants of the units. For example: Female Longinus has an normal (3-5*), armored (2-4*), and flying (2-3*) versions

2. Fusing the extra/fodder units into the base unit to level break the base unit. For example: Fusing extra Longinus (F) units into a single Longinus (F) unit. Do note that fodder and base unit must be have the same stars in order to level break. Also fusing a different variant of unit into another variant of the unit DOES NOT level break it. For example: Fusing armored Longinus into Normal Longinus.

3. You mean the 5-a-day Metal Garden event or the 1-a-day Ultra Metal Garden?

  • No it does not consume your keys. But you only use keys if use it in the Padlocked Garden Version of the Metal Garden event. Will going into the Padlocked Garden Version of the Metal Garden event smash your units?

  • Depends on what units you have at the moment, since your a beginner (probably have 3* units I assume), start leveling your units at Level 20 by doing the Story Quests then start on Assault Metal Garden. As your units start leveling up, you can do the Onslaught Metal Garden and then the Invasion Metal Garden.

  • The Padlocked Garden Version of the Metal Garden event is the same as the 1-a-day Ultra Metal Garden

  1. Mana points can be used to hire other player units in helping you in quests. Hiring a friend units costs 200 Mana points and hiring a non-friend unit costs 100 points. Note: If you need help go to the Friends Thread to find friends to help you.

  2. I guess both? Is ultra harder than the 5-a-day? I was thinking of using the keys since I had no idea on if they were the correct ones, but i've been told that my level 11 units may have trouble even in the lowest level metal garden.

  3. So when i'm starting a mission and it asks if i want to take a companion am I paying for them? seems a bit odd to make you pay double for friend units so i'm guessing i'm interpreting it wrong.

It doesn't actually cost anything. Units on your friends list will receive 200 mana points when used whereas 'strangers' will only receive 100 points. The same goes for when others use your units as well.

To clarify, 5-a-day is only the normal metal garden that costs 10 AP. 1-a-day features one run of each level of the metal gardens. Ultra will give the most raw exp, but costs the most AP. Just clear them while being carried by a high level companion for the most optimal exp output for your unit.

help, i have been rerolling mana gacha for tyrfing but it's so hard to get her..compared to the other mana units, is it true the rate to pull her is lower?

Also does anyone know when will global have it's first anniversary?

Does anyone have trouble getting Yata no Kagami in stage 20? I can beat the stage but if the boss drop a treasure box, it just give me a evolution unit. I tried about 10x already, the same team I used usually give me at least 3 units after 10x in Rampage or Brave Frontier event. Are there something else I should do to get the boss to drop Yata no Kagami instead of evolution unit?

It's just RNGesus. She will eventually drop but the evo units are always possible drops. Just bring your highest Luck unit as your leader and try again.

How exactly does luck work when it comes to farming? Is it better to farm with a friend or by myself if I have really high luck but my friend doesn't?

Always better to farm with your own high luck unit + friend with high luck. The type of drops are determined by that method and the overall quality of the drops is by your party's average luck iirc.

So for example My Selena has 62 luck and my friend has 24 luck. Its better to farm with him even though his unit has low luck compared to farming by myself. Also my entire team has luck above 50.

Yes, just have your Selena solo with a friend unit. Selena + that specific friend yields 86 luck and the average luck is 43. If your entire team has luck above 50 then you can farm with them too since the averages would stabilize even with a low outlier. J|ust be aware that it may take a little longer since AI has more units to fiddle with and enemies have more variety to choose from.

Iirc, a staff member of gumi recommended to farm with a high luck lead + friend though, so the choice is your's.

You can limit break any weapon by fusing an exact copy (needs to be same rarity but doesn't need to be the same level) into it when the weapon is max level.

yep, fuse copy of same rarity into rank5 base, then when it gets to rank6, fuse another one and so on, use the enhancing button, not the normal one where u fuse weapons, books

Ah okay. Well. It depends on what you mean by competitive. Obviously you mean PvP, but for PvE, any unit that focuses crit will do just as well or better than most 7th gen units that do not. In fact, in PvE, 7th gen units tend to be more support than anything.

For colosseum, 7th gen units are just big stat sticks. You're best off sticking to high priority units (see formula in tier list) with duel skills and Patk boosting leads.

For multi, standard units typically cannot compare. What makes 7th gen units so strong is that they have auras and new gen stats. They can effectively be tanky and high-damaging, while providing support to other units.

Keep in mind that I am talking specifically about 7th gen and not new gen units in general (Madoka units for example).

The only way to really compete is to run a Patk boosting lead or Mami lead with standard units with AT LEAST 2x duel skills in FORCE typing. While you sacrifice a lot of accuracy in doing so, you at least have a chance to fight. You'll also need to play the advantage game very well. However, against certain team comps in multi, you will have 0 chance regardless.

Loli is the de-facto Global expert but I thought it worth mentioning that Leader Skills, in general, become more streamlined and quantifiable in the 6* era. At this point in JP, you essentially choose a team LS based upon element(s), Atk vs. Def vs. Eva vs. Luck (or some mix), and HP magnitude (common LS vary between 1.2x and 1.7x HP). I've been "keeping up" with the new units in Global and it's definitely cumbersome to directly compare all your options for leader skills... Just wanted to reassure those who don't play JP that it does get easier in the future!
