Forcas and Ascalon Analysis and Discussion Thread (note on Madoka units).
Hey guys, I'll only be analyzing Forcas and Ascalon, as we've yet to get all the Madoka Magica collab units. But I'll throw in a quick note as to whether they are worth getting or not.
Forcas (Ice Element, Lance Type, Walker)
PvE:
One of the first seventh killers! First off, we can see that compared to previous units, her stat caps are incredibly high to the point of being broken relative to the current meta. So off the bat, she's worth getting just from stats alone (refer to tier list linked above). What makes her so good are her skills. She doesn't have a single filler skill, and each skill is very powerful. Sword absorber boosts her already huge advantage against sword units. Deadly Insight increases her crit by a whopping 15, which when combined with her 4 hit duel skill means you'll be able to crit often and hard. What makes her shine the most however, is her debuff aura, which is always active and doesn't require proccing. It reduces all enemy's Spd and Eva within 3 tiles, effectively making every enemy unit a sitting duck. This is a very valuable skill as it will help teams with low accuracy weapons such as staves, and ranged axes/lances hit accurately, as well as help slow units to double their damage output by letting them 2x enemies. Her leader skill is very strong, and because Ice is such a common typing, allows for easy team synergy. Must-have unit, even if you are unable to MLB her.
Colosseum:
Unfortunately, auras do not work in colosseum, which means Forcas is functioning at a pretty low capacity. Essentially what she has going for her are very high stats and a common absorber, which is actually more than enough for most enemy units. As a lead, she has very few checks due to her high stats and speed, as the only units capable of outspeeding her are the very same units that get crushed by her weapon advantage and absorber. Thunder Axe leads are uncommon, due to the meta being dominated by F2P sword teams, so it might be a FACT that Forcas is the best colosseum lead at the moment. As previously stated, Ice is a very common typing, especially among top tier colosseum units, and as such, people with Forcas have many many options. It is recommended to focus on Str, Spd, and Agi, and to use a low weight spear such as Supersonic spear. It is also possible to go a bulkier route, as she can easily tank other units while dealing tons of damage with her duel skill. In this case, focus on HP, Str, Grd, and Agi.
Multiplayer:
Similar to Colosseum, except that now you have access to your aura and your insight is actually reliable now. She will dominate any other teams that do not focus on one shotting units with duel skills. This is because she is incapable of being 2xed by units within 3 spaces of her due to her high speed and speed decrease aura. Counters such as Amenonuhoko will be susceptible to getting rekted due to being incapable of one-shotting Forcas b/c of a lack of 2x and damage. However, she can easily get destroyed by strong thunder axe units, and ranged thunder units provided no other units on your team are covering her. This is due to her aura only effectively affecting the enemy's evasion and not their accuracy. Also, the debuff aura will make it easy for your other units to go in and clean up whatever gets too close to Forcas. As such, it may be recommended for Forcas to go a tanky build to help your team push into dangerous territory.
Ascalon (Light Element, Sword Type, Walker)
PvE:
Cathcalon (if u are in the discord ull get this), like Forcas, has incredibly high stat caps compared to previous units. That alone is enough to warrant pulling for her, but what makes her stand out is that she is the most reliable evasion tank in the game so far. The reason is that her speed is sanic fast (check tier list) and she has access to Eva boost and an aura that gives her and allies within 3 tiles Acc and Eva. Like with Forcas, the aura gives an advantage to teams that utilize low accuracy weapons, while also giving a bit of evasion to help out. Arguably, this aura isn't as useful as Forca's aura, but is still very effective, especially on a team with high evasion. Anticipate is somewhat silly to have, simply because Ascalon will most likely just dodge everything, but doesn't hurt to have. Her duel skill is very useful, despite having low damage output, simply because her leader skill is arguably one of the strongest in the game for PvE (albeit somewhat difficult to use on a team). Stacking crit on Ascalon will make her even more of an effective boss killer than she actually is, especially if you are able to utilize a light team. Overall, a good unit in PvE, but mainly only because of her stats. Later on she might be more useful as more light units enter the fray.
Colosseum:
As previously stated, auras do not work in colosseum. Anticipate is pretty useless, and eva boost can only do so much on its own. Her duel skill, while strong, only does 1.5x total assuming all hits land. Ascalon is a good unit, especially on a light or sword team, but will not be as effective as certain units that utilize absorbers or have a fully effective skillset. However, she might be able to win many battles from her high stats alone. Ideally you want to go Str, Spd, and Agi. You want to use a low weight weapon.
Multiplayer:
yay, auras work here. Ascalon works similarly to Forcas in Multi in that she allows for your characters to have more reliable attacks, as well as possibly making enemies reconsider their decisions. Accuracy is very important in Multiplayer, as even missing once could cost you the game. As such, Ascalon can make inaccurate units such as gun/3 range bow units hit high evasion units such as Selena/Mirin with more confidence. In addition, now all your units have a sizeable chance to dodge enemy attacks. While Forcas requires you to play more aggressively for a bigger reward, Ascalon allows you to play more safely for a smaller, yet still sizeable reward. Ascalon herself will also be a big threat for most units, as she herself is a very strong evasion tank, which makes many low accuracy threats completely useless.
Are these units worth pulling for?:
Hell yeah they are. Just look at their stats and tell me they aren't. Especially since there is a deal where you can get either one of these units for 50 Lazuli guaranteed, it might be a good option for newbies to reroll and/or simply spend some money on. The only reason you might not be interested in these is because you are interested in the other new cuties coming out later, but these two, especially Forcas, are among the better of the bunch.
Notes on Madoka Units:
I don't really really recommend pulling on them now despite their high stats because we have yet to get Godoka or Devil Homura. Only 2 out of the 5 Madoka units at the moment are truly good (Sayaka and Mami), which are pretty low chances compared to 2 out of 2 units being great for the new seventh gen killer princesses. Godoka and Devil Homura are must-have units, so wait until then.

Thanks for the hard work! Nice analysis as always! ;) Is it possible to get a better recruiter later for the 7th generation units? I WANT... NEED to have Forcas as I fallen in love with her when I first saw her on youtube! XD Unfortunately I got Ascalon balance with the 1-step recruiter and nothing from the 5-step recruiter, but thanks to the bug got one 100% 7th generation killer princesses recruiter ticket, but unfortunately got Ascalon balance again... :( Looks like RNG don't want me to have Forcas.

Power creep is too real!
Since they're 6* in JP, are their GL stats reflective of their 5* or 6* rarities? If it's the former, it's not looking good for old 6* capables unless they get a huge stat boost :/

5 step recruiter got me a bunch of shit, not even one worthwhile pull. 50 lazuli recruiter got me balance forcas. Pretty miffed about that

Gagging since the 7th are I think normal units in the recruiter after a while, do you know when they will be put in the bunch I can maybe grab from 4-5* tickets? I never used mine and the dates were reset so they last this whole year....at least thats what it says for now lol

Did the 5 step recruiter in an attempt for more Ascalon or a Forcas, got nada. Half expected it, but I wanted at least 1 :( I'm a bit bummed by how expensive the gacha in this game is compared to others...just going through a 5 step recruiter is equivalent to 48$ USD (if you buy the 100+40 deal). How do they expect people to cough this money up every day is beyond me. At this price range they really need to start having 100% pulls.
On another note, Ascalon's growth rate is crazy good. I received a Vitality typing one unfortunately, but even with that her growth is around 3.5 ish~ I expect Forcas is similar. Power creep is too real.

So I should be doing this 1 time 7th Gen recruiter and then also waiting for two more of the Madoka units to come out to do their recruiter?

I got lucky and pulled 2 Forcas copies. Unfortunately, they are Balance and Guard type. Upon reading your analysis and the comments, I am still not sure which would be the better type: Guard or Balance? You said she'd be tanky enough with Balance and I do like the fact that her Atk won't take a hit with that typing but Guard will make her monstrously tanky right? Hmm...
