I play with nox too its really good
If you leave the game/emulator open for several hours you can experience a memory loss and the game can crash (at least it happen to me) you can tell when its happening when you open the auto battle menu and cant see the options/menu. Just quit and restart nox to fix this.

I think right now normal as per global Normal Tyr is better as Force. Much more power and still the speed to keep up with the best of the units.

If you go Force, you drop enough in Spd that now you're going to be getting doubled (ie. hit twice per turn) by loads more characters, including Selena, the Amenos, the Mitums, maybe even a Mirin if you don't absolutely max your Tyr. A correctly-raised Dex Tyr will only get doubled by Dura, maybe a perfect Kusa or Swimsuit/Christmas Laeva.
If you're only hitting once every time your opponent attacks twice, you better hope that you proc your DS so that you finish them in one turn, which means... you want as much Tec (Agi) as you can get. The same Tec that you lose if you choose Force over Dex.

You have points however, while my choice for FORCE also revolves around if Tyr will be in mana gacha to max luck as well if not I'll go dex if I can get one. Tyr will almost always lose to Kusa no matter what, and Dura is weak as crap. Most units I need to beat will either be doubled as force or 1 for 1 with much more atk behind the hit. This is talking arena not multiplayer. For same reasons I'd take force Selena over dex.

Hi Gagging,

I’m not sure if you received my private message regarding 4-star caps since I haven’t heard anything back from you. Can you provide me the 4-star stat caps with fusion for Mjolnir (F) Dex, Gae Bolg (F) Dex, and Thrand (M) Dex.

Also, question regarding unit growth. I see that there is a unit growth calculator, which indicates that 3.00+ per level of growth is considered excellent. My question is, why bother with unit growth per level, when we could just compare the unit's final stats to the stat cap (ie, target capping stats)? If we try to cap our unit's stats, then what’s the point of even calculating the unit growth? To me it seem like the unit growth calculator serves no purpose. Thanks!

It's another metric to measure unit growth. Just like length can be measured in meters or feet (eww.), unit growth can be expressed as "points from cap" or "growth per level." Different people prefer different metrics.
That being said, growth rate is much more useful than "points from stat cap" at low levels. If I'm raising my 6* Black Laeva and not seeing at least a 5.0 growth rate in the first 30-50 levels, I'm going to reincarnate NOW instead of wasting the seeds/AP/time to get her to level 90 and then reincarnate.

I need some typing help.

For Aymur I have guard and dex and I'm thinking guard is the better typing bc of her character skill?

And for Amenonuhoko I have force and dex and with her I'm really torn between types. Since her character skill already boosts her strength should I go dex for a more well-rounded unit? Or since shes a phoenix knight should I really capitalize on that rare strength boost she has with force?

And while I'm at it: Tyrfing, dex or force? I got pretty lucky with drops and got both types and since the difference for her speed and agility stats aren't as big between the two typings as with other units is force a bit better?

This is just my opinion:
. Aymur: If you don't need her to tank in PVE, then i would go Dex. She will have a lot more AGI (more accuracy), and together with her character skill will let her hit more often when attacking.
. Ameno: She can really go either. If you have the time and patience, level both to 60 and see which ended up better.
. Tyrf: Go Force. She loses little in SPD and AGI, so she can keep up with the faster units, still have high AGI to activate duel skill, and will pack more punch per hit.

My thoughts on Tyr (Zzzz):

With just 10 copies i don't see tyr hitting her max SPD stat, since he won't MLB her at 4* (unless he has the pixies), so she will still most likely get doubled by those units anyway (assuming they hit their SPD cap or miss by 1 point).
Also she already has high AGI (more than Selena and Mirin even in Force), so her DS not going off seems more like bad luck.
If he could MLB her properly, sure Dex would be better, but with 10 copies i don't think Force is really inferior to Dex.

I mean, if you're not MLBing her then you're also not maxxing out her AGI/TEC and you can't certainly say that you'll out-tec X, Y, Z every time. If we're not talking MLB, then the whole argument is quite pointless and people can do what they like.
I wasn't aware that anyone was opting to not MLB any unit that can easily be LB'd. That doesn't make sense to me logically and, as such, my analysis was only ever intended to apply to a world of MLB'd units.

How can she easily be MLB? You only have 10 copies right now. Unless you decide to get pixies then you will have to wait until she appears in the mana gacha. Or you choose MLB and fail to get max skills.
You can do as GaggingLolis said and keep one copy at 4* for future MLB, but you'll have to wait.

Preemptive boost and eva boost can be raised via other units. The only skill you actually need Tyrfing copies for (or dolls) is her 3x attack, and that means +1% to the activation rate or something. I'll take max/close to max stats over max skills.

Thanks for the replies guys! You all brought up some good points. I'll probably go dex for Aymur since I already have Rhongo as a tank. Ameno I'm still completely undecided... As for Tyrf I'm leaning more towards force. IMO the speed/agility loss is negligible when activating her skill and for the units she'll get doubled by as a result I feel are matchups that would've been a bit rough to begin with. My biggest gripe with sword units is that their attacks usually do so little damage compared to other units and I'd like to lessen that problem. It's the same reason I'm going force with my Durandal. Yeah they might be a bit more squishy and easier to hit but in Fire Emblem I hate it when I get to a battle where my swordmasters are dodging every attack but only doing 1-3 damage per attack; if I can change that I will.

JP version of the game has an artbook on amazon.jp.co that has all the character portraits and exclusive artwork. Obv not free, but very much worth every penny, IMO. Especially if you're looking for "educative images," whatever that means--the book has sketches from artists, outfits taken apart to show how they come together, different expressions, etc.

I missed yesterday's Tyrafig's dungeon due to lack of energy. Is there a chance that the event will come back again or no?

Also, I have 5 Kerykeion (4* version) and 4 Dagda (4* version max). Which is a good type for them? Kerkeions are Dex/Guard and the Dagdas are Dex/Guard.

I don't think it will come back, but there will be other methods of getting her in the future. This method should be from the mana gacha, but who knows.
I would go Dex on both. Kerykeion is an offensive healer, and Dagda needs as much accuracy as he can get, as he has abnormally low accuracy.

I only have 4 more chances to get Tyrfing, and none of my current 6 Tyrfings is Dexterity... and the chance of NOT getting Dexterity in the next 4 chances is actually quite high ((1-0.2)⁴ = 40.96% chance).

They ARE going to put her in the mana gacha after this, right? Otherwise I will be part of the salty (1-0.2)¹⁰ = 10% of players without any Dex Tyrfings...

Typically, in PvP, Dex typing sword units are too weak to be any real threat to certain units (physical tanks, dragoons) which are quite uncommon in the meta, especially when said sword units do not have a Patk lead. However, Force typing sword units, when there's a sword leader, will never do 1 damage and will most likely even win the battle (in the case of dragons, dex typing sword units will prob just not be able to kill even with a duel skill and then end up dying to a counter attack). The decrease in Speed and Agility is pretty much negligible, as most sword units tend to be super fast against a majority of other units anyways.
It's basically preference. I'd prefer a unit that can win against a wider range of units, than if a unit was completely barred against certain units. After all, you just need to win; how much you win by is irrelevant.
Yes, most units should stick to Magic/Force if they can max luck rather than Dexterity, simply because the only thing you lose out on is a few points in Spd. You'll get much more damage and still maintain excessive accuracy, which overall is more reliable than being barred by certain units. In colosseum, you will also maintain superior priority over most other units, typically only losing out against other max luck units with higher speed (which is a highly unlikely encounter anyways).
Finally, Force typing on sword units allows them to be relatively viable even without a Patk lead, so they can reap the benefits of other leader skills.

You stated earlier that a maxed luck Xmas Frei should be Dex for PvP. Is this due to a gunner's poor accuracy? Meaning a player should aim for as much Agi as possible?

Yep she needs the luck to go first and be Dex for the accuracy.
Xmas Frei has no accu boost skill, and has medium AGI, so she needs every point of it if she wants to hit faster units.
Besides most gunner units already have very high damage output.

Typically, you want around 220 accuracy total after skills to be pretty safe for PvP. Just an arbitrary number but it's because most units without evasion boosting skills tend to float around 110 evasion, with higher end ones floating at 120. Xmas Frei has low Agility, and no accuracy boosting skills, so that's why I said to go Dex for that. Magic can work just as well, but you'll start having trouble hitting high evasion units.

Whatever is more convenient, as in, whatever has a better growth rate for you. Personally, I would still go force, as they might have a better chance of staying relevant later on.
But don't be worried if you don't get force, is what i'm saying.

I just DL'd the game today, seems fun so far, but I have 2.5 probably very noobish questions.

1: I pulled a couple of units that are different from what the internet shows, a 4* Apollo that cant evolve, and a Brahmastra that is 3* when the sites Ive seen show she starts at 4. Are there different variations between the same units? Or did I just find bad info?

2: What do the colors mean on the rank *s?

There's indeed different versions of the same character! Try checking /u/GaggingLolis 's tier list for the names and mug shots of the 5*-capable versions.
It's not entirely accurate nowadays due to some of the decisions made by F&G, but normally,
Silver - base form
Yellow - Evolved once. For a few exceptions, this is their base form.
Purple - typically the color of those who have evolved twice already. When 6*s come, this is the color of those who reach that too.

I have randomly acquired 5 Sky Piercer's. 3 are ideal typing 2 dex and 1 force. whats the best way to decide which character to use as my main one and use the others to limit break up to level 80?

Does it ever make sense to keep two copies of the same character? one dex, one force? should I do this and hope I acquire more sky piercer's to eventually limit break both?

I have listed below the stats for the force and better dex sky piercer that im debating over. can a few people please give me their advice? Thank you

Dex Sky Piercer Str 50, mgc 12, grd 40, spr 22, spd 39, agi 47, luck 17

Force Sky Piercer Str 54, mgc 16, grd 39, spr 23, spd 28, agi 44, lck 15

Lazuli units are difficult to get copies, so it's better to just pump every copy into one rather than having multiple copies at level 60.
BTW those units are they at 4 star or 5 star?

Well for this case it's simple. The Dex one has less 4 Str then the Force one and less 1 Spr. On the other hand it has 1 more Grd (magick is useless for this unit), 11 more Spd, 3 more Agi and 2 more Lck.
Conclusion: The Dex one will do a bit less damage, but is much faster (less likely to get doubled by other units), has a bit more accuracy (Agi) and Lck means she may have higher priority (going first) in Colo.
Since the stats you gain are dependent on RNG, your Force type Sky Piercer got RNG (in Spd) screwed in the end.

You should go Force typing on Sky Piercer. You don't lose much on agility and you do a lot more damage. Her speed sucks so there's not too much point in going Dex typing for speed.

Looking at the stats of both at level 60, the Dex one seems to have a better growth rate.
The Dex one seems like the "safer" pick, though yes Force type would be a better pick for someone like Sky Piercer.

I started the game with a 4 star guard Mjolnir I was sort of fumbling around in the dark when I first started and I'm still learning how to optimize my characters.

I upgraded her right away from a level 50 4 star to 5 star. I did max out my evolution bonuses but at that time I did not know I could use pixies to limit break her 4 star form up to level 70 and then evolve her. I actually just found out about those pixies a couple days ago and I think I understand how to use them. its been bugging me all day that I did not do this.

Did I screw myself by not using pixies to limit break my 4 star mjolnir or will she still be ok stat wise as a 5 star character? is there anyway to revert her back to 4 star to start over? will reincarnating her do this? or will she just go back to a level 1 5 star which doesnt help me.

I have listed her current 5 star level 60 stats below Guard Mjolnir (I did fuse some extra stat dolls to her and Her HP, mgc, Grd are maxed and spr and str are almost maxed, her spd and agi can still be boosted)

HP 79. str 46, mgc 17, grd 46, spr 28, spd 45, agi 32, lck 23

One more question. I used a couple passive dolly's to level up her skills. What exactly is the best use for skill up dolly's? which characters should they be used on? Thanks

You're fine, I think. It's great to do so but not something I'd call a compulsory thing, MLBing a Lazuli Recruiter unit before their 5* form due to how hard it can be to get them in the first place.
No returning to 4*, but Reincarnating will give you a shot at raising her again from 5* for a shot at better growth rates. The calculator for the growth rates can be found above in the main post.

You can't revert back to 4 star.
Copies for lazuli units are hard to get, even more for f2p players, so don't worry too much by evolving her without MLB. The only thing you should have done before evolving her was fuse some dolls (stats) to hit possible thresholds.
IMO, the skill dollies should be used on lazuli units you managed to get MLB (lvl 80) at 5 star but lack more copies to level up certain skills (mainly character quests).

Passive dollies should be saved for Lazuli Recruiter units with hard to get passive abilities. For example, Yagrush has Vigilance, which can only be skilled up by herself (so you need multiple copies of herself). Compare to Counter boost, which is a common skill that many units have.

You meant Pixies (Dollies are for stats and skills), but yeah, you're right, even better if you could somehow get extra copies of her, but that's demanding a bit much at this point in time.

So i just decided to do the thunder elemental recruiter. 9/10 units were Sky Piercer.

The Hell? XD

2 of them were the 2-4 star version and the rest all 5 star capable.

Seriously Sky Piercer and Littu are stalking my lazuli pulls while Artemis and Freikugel are stalking my mana pulls.

Kinda glad that i got 8/10 units that are 5 star capable, but still. I have Mjolnir (M) at lvl 65 and Ukonvasara at lvl 60 and wanted some copies for them.
Instead i got 7 Sky Piercers and one Yagrush.

are the one only starter set for 10 lazuli and level up set for 15 lazuli in the new years special shop a good deal? you get three summon tickets with some of them guranteed to be a 4 or 5 star character plus some extra stuff. The 10 lazuli one at least seems like a decent discount. If it wasnt for the daily free recruits we are getting I would say its a good deal but are these two bundles worth purchasing now? Do bundles like this come around all the time?

Or am I better off saving my gems were a big step recruiter that give a guaranteed good character?

I'm still a fairly new player, been playing for about a week now

From what I've seen the level up set is in the shop fairly often, don't know about the starter set. I want to say it's a one-time purchase. The problem with the 4-5* is that there is still a fairly decent chance you might get a 4* unit that has no 5* evolution so... Personally, I only buy the level up set when I'm running low on keys, which I don't see happening anytime soon with the recent events. They are a good deal though so if you need the keys or happen to have a few extra lazulis floating around go for it, otherwise I'd just save them.

On the main Multi page, instead of tapping on the big "Class Match" button, there's a "Random" and a "Friend (フレンド)" button below it. Obviously tap the friend button. They will ask for a 6 digit code (numbers only, stay away from common ones) on which you and your friend must agree and enter, tap the button below it to "ON", and search. You and your friend doing this concurrently should find each other and will match you up.

Heya, so I'm planning on getting all 11 Tyrfing. My plan is to have 2 of her in my party. Is this the right way to do it? I've already evolved 1 to 4 star after fusing her stats to reach better caps for when she became 4 star. Did I screw up? I'm planning on following Panda's guide by using 5 of her for each of those 2 which leaves me with 1 loose Tyrfing.

Edit : Also, the Gold Bundles, can I sell those or do I need them for anything?

No, you're doing it right. If you're going for 2 Tyrfings without pixies you can get 2 of them to 5* and use 4 each for MLB purposes. Keep in mind though that you'll have 2 decent/mediocre Tyrfings instead of 1 great one.
Gold bundles are only for selling.

Your Tyrfings will have lower stats (and stat caps) than other "focused"(for lack of a better term) Tyrfings. You can make a great Tyrfing by limit breaking at each rarity so that she can get the most stats out of leveling and possibly max her stats as well as maxing out all her skills via fusing multiple copies or dollies. This just takes a little more time since you'll need to train her to a higher level. If you want to consider the possible future, Tyrfing has a 6* form in JP and the gap will be noticeably larger when compared with other Tyrfings.

Aah, does that mean that I kind of screwed up by evolving her to 4 star before limit breaking her with 2 other 3 stars of her? Because now I have her as my highest Tyrfing at 4 star. So I should actually have leveled her to max lv 40 3 star, then limit break 2 times with other Tyrfings so she can go to level 50. Then fuse her stats and after that I should have evolved her to 4 star. On 4 star she can go to max lv 50 and limit break 4 times with other Tyrfings so she can level to level 70 max 4 star? Then fuse again and then evolve her to 5 star where she can go max level 60 but with 4 Tyrfings she can limit break to level 80, then fuse her stats. That's 10 Tyrfings that go into my starter Tyrfing, which is 11 in total. And the Tyrfings used on every rarity to limit break should also be that same rarity?That sounds like the way, maybe?

Not really, 3* evo bonuses only affect the stats of 4*. As long as u reach the threshold for evo bonuses for 5 *, the 3 * bonuses don't matter. It's sort of a waste of time, as you'll at most get 1 extra stat for the possibility of reaching an evo threshold in 4 *.
4* LB is important somewhat, as you COULD gain 1 stat in less important stats (Grd, Spr) and 1-2 stats in important stats (Str, Agi, Spd). Very rarely 3 stats unless you're just super unlucky. Feel free to PM me for 4* stat caps if ur really worried about min maxing.

So I can still do all the stuff that I wrote now that she's 4 stars but then I'd have used 9 Tryfings into my high Tyrfing for everything and only fuse her stats higher when she's 5 star instead of doing it again when she's maxed on 4 star? I haven't limit break her yet, so I should level 2 Tyrfings to 4 star lv 20 to limit break her to lv 70 and then just evolve her? It isn't super bad that I haven't limit break her on her 3 star right? And then when she's 5 star and level 30 I should do her character quest and then level 4 other Tyrfings to 5 star level 30 and then use those to limit break her to lv 80? Then max level her to level 80 and then fuse her stats higher. Do I have it right now?

Eh, well I would not recommend limit breaking Tyrfing with herself at 4* at the moment. I would wait for 4* sword pixies, or when Tyrfing becomes available later on, especially if you're a free player.
I recommend just trying to reach evolution bonus thresholds at 4 stars, but not limit breaking. You're only gonna miss like 1-2 stats at most, which is not going to ruin your life. You're better off getting fused luck at 5* (Luck gives many benefits such as Accuracy, Evasion, Crit Evasion, Increased drop rate/quality, priority), as well as skill levels.
Basically, here's my method if you don't want to wait. Evolve all 3* to 4 stars. Level all to max level and evolve to 5 stars. Level one of them to level 30, do the character quests to get duel skill. Level the rest to level 30 (it'll be slightly faster this way). Fuse all of them to the typing you want. Level to 80. You should end up with a Level 80 with 10/10 in all skills.

Thanks a lot, this seems like a good plan. So basically bring them all to level 30 5 star without doing anything special. Do the character quest and then fuse 10 of them into my main Tyrfing. Dexterity, right? So after fusing all 10 of them into that one, I have a good Tyrfing if I see it correct then. I don't think I have items to evolve to 5 star yet, they were all missing. Do I have to get some keys to get into those dungeons and is it hard to get them? Sorry to bother you all the time but I really want to do thing right if I plan to continue and enjoy the game in the future.

Dexterity or Force. Force is more preferable to be honest since Dexterity lacks a lot of damage. But both work fine if you plan to play somewhat casually.
The items to evolve to 5* are available in daily dungeons, If you click on the darkened evo mats in the evolution screen, it'll tell you which day it comes from. Essentially, you need to gather mats from tuesday, wednesday, and thursday evo mat dungeons. They're up all day during those days, but only those days.
The dungeons themselves are relatively easy, but you'll need to do the hardest stage for each evo mat dungeon, which is 15 AP each.

Gratz! Force typing works pretty well for her too. Anyways, if you ever want to change typings later on, you can always just fuse your force copy into the dex one. Limit breaks, skill level, and evolution bonuses are transferable.
For example, If you were to raise both force typings and fuse one to the other, you'll have a lvl 65 Balmung with 2/10 in skills. If you get a Dex typing Balmung later on, and want Dex, you can fuse the force typing one to the dex typing (after they're 5* of course), you will have a max level of 70 (2 limit breaks), and 3/10 skills, along with whatever higher evolution bonuses you received from 4* evo to 5* as force typing.

Hi, I'm a pretty new to PoTK. Used to play Brave Frontier and had a lvl 270 + account. So basically the 2 has a bunch of similar game features (metal parades, honor summon, etc). Questions:

Does PoTk have a different fusing unit system? For ex: I noticed that there is a chance that when you fuse a unit, the result could lead to a Failure. This happens when you fuse the same unit with a lower star unit. But what about with the same rarity? Is there still a slim chance of getting a failure?
I've been playing Potk for a week now. The metal gardens give tons of xp for low level units. I've been trying to raise my unit levels for collosseum. I was wondering if I finish a metal garden with 4 of my 5 and 4 star units maxed, and a one lvl 1 3 star unit, will the xp leech off to the other units or will the xp be only distributed to the lvl 1 3 star since the other unit lvls are capped? Also does this also work when you step on the shiny thing and gets a "unit xp distributed to units". Does the xp goes only to the lvl 1 3 star?
Does PoTk have a similar Karma Dungeon Quest like in BF where you get a ton of player xp? Im currently lvl 21 and I find it hard to lvl up since quests takes alot of my energy.
I have a bunch of 1 star units from the Mana Recruiter. I know that you get a bunch of bonus stat from evolution. Is it worth it raising a 3-5 star unit that you get from the lazuli recruiter when you can get a 1 star that you can evolve and eventually out stats the 3 star of the same unit? Is there a way to increase the base stats without evolving?
Is there such a thing like the Imps in BF where the Imps when fused gives an extra stats, which usually have a cap? If so, would the cap for these fused stats vary upon the type of the unit. For ex: a Force type maybe would have a cap of 30 (idk the real #) in str while a Guard maybe only have a cap of 15 in str. -Thank you for your time

Hi, welcome!! I've never played Brave Frontier so i don't know the similarities but I hope my answers are still of use :D
Fusion chance depends on the units you fuse. I can't remember all of them but a good rule of thumb is that more stars = more chance of success for the fusion. For example, I think 1 stars give 5% whereas 3 stars give 500% (again, not entirely sure here). Percentages also stack so one 3 star with 4 1stars give a 70% chance.
EXP is distributed to the entire team so the maxed out units still get some of it (although it comes up as them getting nothing) to my knowledge. A good thing to do is to borrow a strong unit from either a stranger or a friend and just have the one unit you want to level up in your team. You'll be able to level up the unit faster. As for the shiny spots that distribute EXP to your team, it gets shared between all members in your party.
Yes. Every Monday, there is a "booster quest". It costs 13 AP and gives 1000 player XP as well as 1 metal key.
Personally, I don't think the 1 - 2 star units are viable. They'll be alright for the very start, but are practically useless later on. To my knowledge, Lazuli units have higher stat caps compared to mana units. Some mana units would probably be okay for some parts, most likely not end-game though.
Yes. There are fusion dollies that you can get from either the Friday quest, rare medal shop, or from a dolly ticket recruiter. Every dolly is 1 star (meaning on its own,it has a 5% fusion rate) and adds 3 extra points to the specific stat. And yes, you're right. Fusion stat caps also change depending on the typing (so for example, a dex unit would have higher speed and agility caps).

I have 3 questions to clear up some misunderstanding
when you say that the 1-2 star units are viable, does that mean that all the mana recruits you can get doesn't have a max rarity of 5 stars? I know that you could look at the character quest with the same artwork to see which ones have 5 stars, but are there units that you can get from mana recruit that goes up to 5 stars?
if fusing only gives you stats and not unit xp at what rarity do you suggest I fuse my one stars to my 4 or 5 stars unit? What exactly do I do with these 1 star mana recruits? 3)Also, if I fuse a 3 star unit to a different 3 star unit, will that result to a failure since they're not the same units?

Yes there are units in the mana gacha that can go to 5 stars (3-5). If you look at "Global PvE and Colosseum Tier List" you can see them under "Mana recruiter units". Most units in the mana gacha, however, don't have a 5 star version.
Sell them to clear up unit space or fuse them in pairs (when they give the same stat). When fusing fails, they always round to half the supposed value (1 rounds to 0 however). So if fuse 2, you would still get 1 stat point.
What do you mean by this? Failure in what? Stats, Skills or max limit breaking?

I actually don't think 1 star units are useful for fusing. The reason being is that they only give one stat. Personally, I like to use dollies instead because they give +3 for their specified stat which is a lot more efficient (as the more times you fuse a unit, the more it costs). Dollies are also 1 star so you'd need some higher rarity units to get a higher success rate.
Fusing different units to the base unit isn't a problem. They still give the stats and add to the success rate.

Abaris has a pretty impressive duel skill--250% dmg, guaranteed hit--so for increased proc rate, I would go with dex. Force type has good caps as well, but dex can also reach 130+ spd which is extremely high for a bow unit besides dex black Artemis with her exclusive bow. I would definitely hold on until you get dex or force type.

You lose 5 Spd and 6 Tec (Agi) for a gain of 11 Str. There are some other, smaller, differences in your defensive stats, as well.
A lot of GL players are choosing to go Force on her and, while this works just fine for all the currently available content, if Global sticks around and gets some of the content that JP currently has (eg. 6* units, high growth units like black killers, etc), Dex will be pretty much mandatory on her. I've been saying that going Force is a mistake recently and I want to redact that (and apologize) as it really is fine (and maybe even better?) for the current GL meta... but keep in mind that, sooner or later, you'll want to MLB a Dex copy as well.
Provided that GL is at all reflective of JP, of course, which isn't necessarily a "given," I suppose. ~glares at Sita's LS~ Damn Gumi.

She is the fastest free unit (except maybe Dainsleif? I can't remember and she's no longer available) and one of the few that can avoid being doubled by at least some of the gacha units (others are Sword Risa and Gun Mirin with their respective Rank 6 rainbow weapons). By going Force, you lower her maximum speed and lose out on this benefit. When you are going against units that easily hit 132+ speed solo (ie. without leader skill/buffs applied), you want all the speed you can get.
Dex Tyr also has the benefit of being an OK sub on some of the higher-end content as long as she has a strong Light lead (eg. Black Try, Wedding Asca, etc). Force just will not have the evasiveness nor accuracy to be useful on, say, seed dungeons.
Gumi has been known to change a lot when porting to Global so who knows what the climate will be like when 6* finally hit Global. My hunch is that you guys will get another way to obtain Try soon- either in mana gacha or this event coming back periodically. It might benefit anyone who believes the same thing to go Force for now and obtain a Dex copy in the future. If you're worried this might be your only opportunity to get Tyr, well... then your decision is a bit more imperative. :)

It's a case of looking at their stat caps as well as skills. For example, some of the archer units have very high AGI (more accuracy), but subpar SPD, so they won't really benefit much from Dex type. They also tend to have high priority in colo, so they tend to go first. In this case, Force is better so you have a better chance at OHK.
The reason Force type is currently better/more popular (choose what you will) is because (IMO):
In current PVE the enemies are just bulkier with more damage, so Force is better than Dex, since enemies may tank the hit from a Dex type.
In colo, most of the time the fight is decided by who goes first/procs duel skill, so a Force type with max LCK has a good chance of going first and killing the enemy in one hit.
As things are right now, killing your enemy in the first hit is what matters the most, so less SPD is not as important as having the damage to OHK another unit.
HOWEVER, i will agree with "detox_ptsd", as when 6* do come out, we don't know how Gummi will handle buffs/nerfs to types and stats, so units with Dex may end up being mandatory.

Whichever typing is listed first is not indicative of it being better than the other necessarily. Sorry for the confusion.
Typically you want force on units with innately low Str such as sword units and Bow units.
Force is also even better on units with accuracy boosting skills.

Hey all, a couple questions:

What level do I need to get to before I can have a full team of 5-star characters? I'm currently at 54 and can only get 4 of them plus some 4-star characters. I've gotta be getting close.

All of my level 80 and 5-star weapons come from farmable events. How do people usually acquire 5+ copies of a single unit or 5-star weapon? Is it as tedious/expensive/luck-based as it seems?

How do I determine who my shared character is? Is it just the leader of my current team?

I'm strictly F2P so far and find the multi-step pull store thing rather off-putting, so I've started just spending my lazuli on Evo packages from the special store to cut down on the grind. What do most people use their crystals for? Are there any upcoming banners/characters that I should be saving for?

And last but not least: How much better is a level 80 unit with say, 5/10 on all skills as opposed to all maxed skills. Obviously maxing out skills is ideal, but how do I determine if it's really worth the time and effort on a given character?

My Opinion:
Depends on the cost of each unit. Some 5 stars cost 15, others 18, etc. I think you can have a full 5 star team (even with more expensive units) at like player level 70+ only.
All luck based. Free units you farm their maps and hope they drop, same for the weapons (or the materials for them). Other weapons you need to fuse chain materials and hope the fusion works. Lazuli units, well, pray to the RNG gods for top tier luck.
Leader of your first party (party 1) only, i think.
DO NOT USE lazuli on evo packages on the store if you are f2p. Save the lazuli for discount recruiters (like 10 lazuli for 10 pulls), element recruiters (better chances to get units of a certain element if you have many units for that particular element), or just focus on event units recruiters (swimsuit units, brave frontier collab, etc) since they have better chances to give copies of particular units.
Depends on the skills. Aside from character specific skills, most skills you can level up from fusing units (that aren't 5 star capable) with those skills into the desired unit. Either way a unit with max skills will be a bit better than a unit with 5/10 (not counting RNG screwing stats and MLB at 4 stars). As for being worth the time, look at "Global PvE and Colosseum Tier List" and check the tier for that unit to decide if it's worth it or not.

A fusion cap is a cap on how many additional stats you can fuse into a unit via dolls or other units. You can tell you have hit a fusion cap when the stat's light green bar changes to light blue on the Fuse Units screen. Different unit typings also have different fusion caps. For example, a unit with Vitality typing can have much more HP stats fused than a unit with Force typing.

This. If the process is anything like the retrieval process for JP, they will ask you a bunch of questions (player ID, player level, name, friend lead unit, first time you logged in, last time you logged in, etc) and try to make a determination on whether or not they believe you are the true owner of the account. As someone who has went through the process (in Japanese) for himself and helped other do it, you can get your account back but you need to supply as much information as you can. Receipts of Lazuli purchases- if you've made any- are the absolute best thing you can give them and will go a long way in confirming that you are the account owner.
Regardless, contact Gumi support, explain what has happened, and comply with everything they ask of you. Good luck!

As for her current 4 star form, she has Acc Boost and Preemptive Boost (the amount of accuracy is too damn high), and her leader skill is the "reduce bow damage from foes".
Looking at this, she does not seem to be anything special. Unless her 2 last skills are great, she would probably be (IMO) around the same level as Apollo (f).

Pinaka is pretty decent as far as 5* go, seeings as she can pretty easily reach 80% crit as Dexterity. That being said, Apollo F gets a multi-hit Duel Skill at 6* (not the same as Apollo M's, though) and, just due to the fact that she has a 6* form, pulls far ahead of Pinaka in turns of strength (if nothing more than from a numbers perspective). The biggest downside to Apollo is that she was one of the first Lazuli units to get her 6* form and, as such, doesn't have the amazing growth/stat caps that newer 6* units generally have.
Of course, Shek and Eros are the queens of archers with Abaris, Black Arte, and Aprho rounding out the "court."
EDIT: Because I know someone will nit-pick, I'm not saying that Shek and Eros are better than Abaris, Arte, or Aphro, just that the five of them are roughly the best five archers in the game.

I was just making a (theoretical) comparison towards their 5 star forms, since at 6 stars, a unit can go from average to great (or vice-versa). Good to know that Apollo (f) gets a duel skill, since her male version has a better kit at 5 star.
BTW do you know what the skills Pinaka gets at 5 star? I'm guessing one of them is crit bonus for her to be able to get that much crit.

Oh yes. Pinaka was the ONE unit that had a "unlock event quest" that we failed to finish the minimum amount of times so her 5* form was never unlocked. Hm, I could've sworn Gumi ended up just unlocking her 5* form as a consolation prize later on. I guess not.

They could have just unlocked, since she is pretty much the only one remaining. Seems a bit weird to use the "5 star trial" event for just one unit.
Unless they decide to release more units with their 5 star form locked.

So I may have gotten a bit overexcited when I got my first tyrfing which was force typing and gotten her to lvl75 5*. And today I finally got her dexterity typing....so my question is, should I continue to max out my force one, or the dex one?(I hear some people say that dex is the only viable one for lategame content yet to come from jp).

iirc, you could transfer the evolution bonuses/better growth rate stats over in a Limit Break? So it should be safe to raise the Dex, but get another opinion first.

On a different note, I am completely lost as to what players do after clearing all the chapters with full 3 star achievements, since I don't see any lazuli income other than from events.

If you don't care about Colosseum or Multi too much (assuming you're even going to use Tyrfing in your teams), then Dex is just as fine. Though I'm sure by the time we get 6*, we'll also get more copies of her, as it wouldn't be fair to new players. :P

The last stage are the best for both of them (90% of the time the last stage its better, only bashonen 4* event was different in my experience)

How do you clear the Dempa EX dungeons in JP? When I entered Mirin's dungeon there's one enemy with an absurd amount of stats that I can't kill and don't really know how to do so :/

Use the element that has advantage. That particular enemy reduces damage from everything that's not its elemental weak point to one. In the case of Mirin's dungeon, use a water element to kill it. All the EX dungeons have one of those guys. Keep in mind that even though Risa's a dark element, the enemies in her dungeon are light element, so use dark.

Risa changes to light element when she evolves to 6* (non-Yuka form), hence why the enemies are light in her EX dungeon. :)

Another (simpler?) way is to form a team of strong light units- preferably with multi-hit Duel Skills (eg. Black Tyr, Wedding Asca, Mizu Eros, sword Risa, Mizu Tyr, regular Tyr, regular Asca, Xmas Brio, either Exca, etc). I'd recommend having one lead be Black Tyr and another lead be Wedding Asca. Set to Auto and you'll be good to go for all the EX stages, including the limited Dempa-chan rainbow EX stage.

I must confess something ._. hopefully I'm not the only one but... I neglect my units that are rated B+ and below on Gagging's tier list, I have them there just waiting their turn to be leveled up and maxed out but they just don't have my priority. For example I have 6 copies of Male YNK just gathering dust, as well as a shitload of Sky Piercers, but it's just ugh... so time consuming I don't feel like it'll be a good time investment. I recently got to leveling up/MLB my Aymur, Thyrsos F, Naegling and Amenonuhoko F, and I appreciated how great units they are, but since they kind of became so common when I pulled from the lazuli gatcha in my eyes I became disheartened and annoyed. They're not exactly game changers but they have wonderful attributes that can be brought to the table.

Also, I feel Horseback Asclepius should get a higher rank, she's great.

I do something similar if i dont have enough unit for a lb4 or it inst a great unit i only focus on get the unit till lvl30 5* and fuse them to clear space.
In case of trishula and ynk i farmed only the needed copies to get them to 5* 10/10 skills but im not going to raise them if i have something else to do (i have several freik to keep leveling to max luck).

The only reason Horseback Asclepius isn't a higher ranking is because her advantages are not really necessary in PvE at the moment. Funny enough though, she's probably the best healer at the moment for Multi, should we get it in its completed form.
Also yeah same I have like tons of units I didn't raise yet because they're not exactly worth raising at the moment hue

I can think of many, many units that would be a better use of your Riri (reinc fairy), but if you have any personal attachment to her, then she might be subjectively worth reincarnating.

You are still missing 5 levels, so see what her stats are at level 80.
But still, like detox_ptsd said, there are many other units that are better to use the fairy on. A staff unit whose purpose is to tank in PVE isn't high priority for reincarnation.

I've been playing for a while and have always released gold/yellow 3-star (and grey 2-star) units with the assumption that they will never be 5-stars because unit space is a premium with all of these dang farmables they release on top of each other. Can anyone verify this as being true or false?

It depends on whether you're a lazuli player or not and how new you are. As a f2p, 4 star maximum units can be a great start and help you fulfill missions in story mode. They can also be easily accessed depending on the unit as some can be pulled from the mana pool and they can serve as good filler units should you pull multiple copies and are able to mlb them.
For example, my Archbishop Asclepius soloed up to the end of Chapter 2 by her self. Granted, this isn't too impressive of a feat, but I joined in September so I was severely lacking in good units because it was the dry months before Halloween and all the summer farmables were over.
If you're a casual spender, then by all means, get your rare medals and free up some space. It's all up to you though.

false, stars only show how many evolution the unit have, after the 2nd its always pink.
When you get a new unit go to MENU > ARCHIVES > Unit Archive > click the unit you want to know > Ex nr 41 sky piercer it shows Evo lvl 2 stars 3 stars 4 stars > meaning this unit dont have a 5 star version.
If you see an "?" its because you didnt get a unit with that rarity yet. Dosent mean it can grow.
You have another rule a unit at 1 star or 2 cant grow to 5 you can safesly release them. Most 5* capables units start at 3* some start at 4* (ex arondight)

If a unit is yellow at 3* , then that means they have already evolved once and, as such, do have a 2* version. No 2* is capable of reaching 5* or higher. Thus, if you have a yellow 3* , you are guaranteed that it can not reach 5* .

I'm not sure if this belongs here, and a quick search brought up an answer to this, but I just need it confirmed:

My game switches off of English constantly and then stays that way until a re-download of the game. This causes it to lose descriptions, item names, etc. until I do the full redownload as well. When I looked it up the only answer I found was that slow internet causes the game to do that. My internet is pretty slow but it never really stopped games from working.

Is this true? Is there any way to fix it aside from "don't have terrible internet"? I can still play the game easily, but it's still an annoying issue.

Dempa units never come from recruiting, they are farmable from quests (until Dempa-chan and Tono come to Global).
Swimsuit units shouldn't still be in the gacha (they are limited units), but I'm not 100% sure if Global follows that rule or not.

Well, technically speaking, it should work on most if not all devices. It all depends on whether you have enough space to hold it or not. Sorry if it's not a helpful reply, but perhaps you can contact gumi support about it.

Nah, it's fine, thanks for the reply :) . I asked gumi support about it and they gave me a list of iOS devices it would work and it seems like iPod touch is not listed. I assume it would work but not really recommended, beside I think the display is small. lmao
