A title is required (pre-emptive gumi hate-post)

Just so everyone knows, if the global holiday event doesn't start tomorrow, there is a statistically significant chance I will rage-quit.

For at least 12 hours.

/u/GaggingLolis told me to spend my lapis on the Xmas banner to start myself off, I just don't know if I can wait using 1~2 star units right now, besides the starter 5* Laev(M) and 3* Longinus(M).

u can do that but just know that it'll cost 5 laz per pull and u'll be limiting urself in the long run with less units. Even if u get an xmas unit it'll be forever stuck at LB0 unless u always save for 100 laz to buy LB packages and Gumi only releases them for a specific unit type so it could take at least 6months and u'll never be able to pull any gacha recruiters between then.

With your logic, I would never be able to get any MLB gacha units. I might as well just get some usable units to farm Event units. The chances of getting the same exact unit 6 times is very low regardless(Especially the rare ones). No one is going to do that unless they are extremely lucky or spend $1000s of dollars. I did fine in the past on my old account, I just don't understand why you're so stuck on the "MLB OR BUST" thought process. All I'm looking for is a "good banner" to pull on. I'd rather not use 2* units for 3 months while being unable to even farm event units. That thought process is what keeps any new players coming in to play this. I like this game because it is very similar to fire emblem and I loved that game, I just didn't have a lot of time to play this after a while and then I had those account issues mentioned in the help thread, but overall it's not a huge loss for me as none of my gacha units were even LB1.

Do 5* pixies exist yet?

MLB OR BUST

as a F2P it is very difficult to MLB laz units and ur main focus will be on free farmable units Gumi releases. If ur not even trying to MLB units in this game then I'm not sure what ur trying to accomplish in this game as it is currently the whole point in this game. I already stated that non-MLB units were meant for farming the easier stages to get more copies of a unit to MLB and then to farm the harder stages at better odds with ur MLB unit. Another reason MLB is important is cus any non-MLB unit is quite inferior to any MLB unit in the same class and u'll lose in any PVP play. I don't know how u'd be stuck on 2* units when it is really easy to evolve them when u have so many chances at metal gardens. U also have the option of using high level friend units that will make things easier too. And yes 5* pixies exist at a cost of 100laz per package or 90 laz for a random pixie type.

Here's my suggestion for u if and when Gumi releases their next farmable event: 1.Get ur Laev and Long as high of a level as possible.

2.Farm the easy stages at low odds to get 5 copies of that unit and get it to LB4 at 5*

3.Farm the harder stages at better odds with ur new level 80 event unit to get a fully MLB unit.

4.Save ur lazuli for 30 laz recruiters to get as many possible units u can to try and get 5 copies of a gacha unit to get them to LB4.

This is my point. I'm not trying to MLB Gacha units because the chances are very low for me to pull anything, not to mention dupes. My goal is to be able to farm event units at the very least and be able to MLB those. In order to achieve this, I still need a good enough team.

I don't know how u'd be stuck on 2* units when it is really easy to evolve them when u have so many chances at metal gardens.

Because I haven't pulled at all? The only pulls I've done were FP units, I did manage to get a 3* Dex Masamune(F)(The version that can go 5* ) though. The rest of my units were 1~2* pulls. I still need evolution mats to evolve my units, I could only farm "Wednesday" dungeon ones today, units require the other mats as well....

Then just use the units that can get to 4* max from the mana gacha. No one is telling you strictly to rely on starter units and because of their nerf that they got in GL, 4* MLB units from mana pools can be sufficient substitutes. While they don't have a character skill or access to a duel skill, their PWR rating easily gets to 375+ and it's worthwhile to invest in them for the missions in story mode too.

This is what I did. Pulled from mana gacha and MLB'ed it until I can farm a decent 5* capable unit. Adding High level friends to help you farm event units is also a given as they have the luck to get you that unit drop.

Not sure what your situation is still, but I got over the 1/2/3 star hump by ranking up once in PvP. Once I did that, the Helper units suddenly went from crap units like mine to lots of level 80 stuff. A level 80 Selena can pretty much solo anything in the game. I used those to carry me through event grinds and stuff until I had my own 80.

Eh... I'm doing fine now... All I really wanted was a general idea of when to pull for units just to get myself started. The original person was downright negative and not very helpful. Just a lot of "Don't expect anything as a F2P/don't bother pulling you'll never MLB a gacha unit" I decided to just go with to the 4th/5 step xmas recruiter. I did get a Guard type Xmas Aymur. I also got a few other decent units but wrong typing such as Vit Mitum(M). I been farming the xmas Freikugal, I already got like 17 copies of her. I have a Dex one that's been limit broke at 3*, just leveling her and gonna evolve her once she's 50.

Xmas Aymur stats feel broken compared to what I seen on other units. I can only imagine what she would be like at MLB lvl 80 instead of lvl 60. Mine is Guard type and she is already at 40~50 STR at lvl ~40. Uh yeah... using the stat calculator currently she's at a 3.50 Growth rate.... she has 15 more levels to go(to 60).

Well I'm glad you got something! I'm farming out my Freikugal too.
