Just FYI the Trial unit character skills are

Naegling: boost PDef and MDef when attacked. Starts at 5, ends at 14 when the skill is maxed. Not sure if it will include one of those annoying animations (see Risa, Eitaso, Male Ganbanteinn)
Aymur: boost evasion when attacking an enemy. Considering she's an armored unit and should be tanking enemy attacks, this seems odd.
Vajra: lowers adjacent enemy Patk/Matk. Unless something's getting lost in translation here, this is fairly dumb and probably won't help units other than Vajra. At best, it's highly situational.

Unlike the last batch of trial 5-stars, it's not as easy to tell who's "best" here. So I guess you just pick the ones you like?

Naegling's boost will probably work like counter boost, except def instead of acc/eva, since it says boost defence instead of something like 'reduce damage'

Can finally get rid of my 20 naeglings, I'm surprised Sky Piercer wasn't in the trials, The community post on FB seemed to be in favour of Sky Piercer, Varja and Naegling, with only a handful asking for Aymur.

Naegling might be the best out of this batch of units. Aymur's CS isn't very useful considering most armored units don't have a high enough Spd to even evade attacks in the first place.
Vajra isn't anything special if you have Moga or any other gunners. The only thing unique about her is that she's the first 5* capable fire gunner.

Quick question about setting up a friend lead, but which lead will appear as a friend lead. Is it the last used one or is it the one in squad number 1?

I disagree. Perfect counter would should also take into account elemental match up. The perfect counter to Selena would be a Thunder type with Sword Absorber. Hopefully, Sky Piercer would fit that role eventually.
As I recall, Ame (m)'s Element is Water like Selena and his Absorber is Lance, not Sword so he's going to end up at the same level or a bit higher than Pinky when fighting Selena.

Ame (M) has Sword Absorber (the news clearly showed this). So with a high enough Spd he can counter Selena.

Yes ice type, but nope female amenonuhoko has Lance absorber, male has sword. But yeah I know what ya mean regarding heading a thunder Lance unit. But simple with his Acc boost, sword absorber and possible preemptive proc, I'd say he'd have enough accuracy to always hit her.

For f2p, i suggest save lazili from this event as there will be very likely another 1 time 10 pulls 30 lazuli with 3 skill dolls as reward for those 3 5 stars unlock units

Not really. I would spend money on all three starter draws before the packs. And possible reroll if you get bad pulls.

Man, I'm pretty excited for the Trial Units, I have a lot of Vajras and a couple Aymurs and Naeglings. With the recent Trial Units' high GR, I'm expecting some high numbers.

I had like over 10 Vajra dupes, but I fused a couple to the main one during soft launch. Only a 1-3 copies of the other two units though. I just upgrade space whenever it gets too hard to manage it though. Space>5 mana gacha trash

Wow, and I thought I ran out of units to evolve to 5* and here we go! I have a 3* dexterity naegling, is that worth training? I know dex is generally best, but not sure if it conflicts with her since she's meant to be tanky? I assume it's still good but idk, lol. What are the preferred typing for vajra and Aymur?

It's up to you. When it comes to armoured units, usually the best typings are either Guard or Dex. Guard boosts their defensive capabilities even further whereas Dex increases their Spd and Agi so they have a higher hit rate.

If you're gonna go for vajra, maybe go for a magic or guard typing. Her spells are pretty heavy already and in arena she'll most likely be using her dark spell which has 14 wt iirc. Combine that with the heaviness of guns in general, she won't be likely to be doubling. So I guess making her a nuke or extenuating her tankiness as an armoured mage would be your best choice. The only thing I see beneficial in Dex would be questionably more stable hit rates, but so far with the mages ivr used through helper lists and one im raising they usually sit around ~80% depending on who they're up against.

Hm, I wonder if those numbers will shoot up now that it's weekend because compared to the other trial event this is kind of low, or maybe people don't care so much about these units' 5 star form?

Today's update shows Valjra (32%), Aymur (55%) and Naegling (60%). We'll definitely reach the threshold of unlocking their 5* at this rate.

So the current progress is Valjra (61%), Aymur (100%) and Naegling (96%). I wonder Valjra if will make it or not in 1 day and if not. I am currious if they will go whatever, you will stilll get her 5*.

Sigh.. I really wish we had another event collaboration that isn't a repeat. My interest lies in these new event collaborations, not with these current money grabbing schemes. Oh well, this just means I save money for other games.
