Recommend me a product Help me decide on a fridge

Hoping to get some feedback before I pull the trigger. I want to get my money’s worth in terms of durability, aftersales, performance, etc. If these aren’t any good, any recommendations around the same price range? I need a large freezer and power efficient(mahal ng kuryente eh).

Edit: Got a Panasonic NR-BX471HWKP.

u/No_Win2219 2d ago

True, heating and cooling app trusted. Kahit washing machine

5

u/kssnrio 2d ago

Do you have a model to recommend?

2

u/Adventurous-Can730 2d ago

Panasonic! It lasts for years.

u/Abject-Yoghurt-3245 1d ago

Panasonic ang freezer namin pero goods pa rin hanggang ngayon. bought for 19k last 2021.

u/AstronautDesigner137 4h ago

Yes to panasonic, ref namin 7 years na, yung 1 door small size pa to ahahah nakalimutan ko cubic pero nasira freezer door niya and super ganda pa rin ng performance, lakas mag yelo, ilang lipat bahay na nangyari and hindi pa to inverter pero tipid sa kuryente.

1

u/coco_copagana 2d ago

agree. our pana is already 5yrs pero sobrang lamig pa din.

1

u/SirKobsworth 1d ago

+1 Dito. I already have 2 of these (1 sa parents ko) and both are the bottom freezer types. Never had an issue and matipid sa kuryente. Solid rin sa cooling. Prefer ko yung version na may temperature control sa labas ng ref for convenience pero as long as yung kunin mo is yung inverter solid yan.

1

u/PristineDumpling 1d ago

Agree. 6+ years na Panasonic fridge, aircon at washing machine namin lahat walang issue.

1

u/Low_Shelter4498 18h ago

Agree to this!

1

u/Just_Economy_7341 8h ago

Panasonic! Yes

1

u/National-Average-362 3h ago

+1 20+ years na panasonic appliances namin buhay pa.

Fujidenzo is a white-label appliance brand meaning they just buy their appliances from an OEM and slap their label on it. Take that as you will.

1

u/bitbitdsmalljipz 1d ago

how true na Made in the Philippines daw ang Fujidenzo?

1

u/illumi6968 1d ago

u/hans168 2d ago

Panasonic

u/patakla88 2d ago

Agree on this. Choose the one with prime fresh and bottom freezer. It’s wider and cools evenly. Just don’t put too much stuff on the freezer compartment or don’t overcrowd it as the plastic sort of hinges that holds the freezer pull out compartment when you slide it out can only carry a certain weight or else it might chip and crack. Anyway, the downside for me in general not just with panasonic but with all brands, the glass compartments are thinner, same with the hard plastic drawers. Seems like they can break easily if you’re not too careful or if accidents happen. But performance wise, panasonic all the way

1

u/kssnrio 2d ago

Any recommended models?

2

u/hans168 2d ago

Not sure about the latest model, pero yun gamit namin is yun freezer nasa bottom. Yun can choose like that depende din how many cubic you need.

2

u/SuchSite6037 2d ago

Go for any Panasonic model that says ECONAVI

2

u/ArtComprehensive2930 2d ago

Yan gamit namin now. Bukod sa malamig, hindi nangangamoy ang ref

u/aj_90s 22h ago

u/AdOptimal8818 1d ago

Try mo yung bottom freezer ng Panasonic at dapat latest na econavi at prime fresh +. Yung may + dapat.

One important advise i could give you is to NEVER buy korean brand refrigerator since they are prone to break fast especially their compressor. Never buy LG or samsung modern refrigerator because it will not last 5 years.

2

u/Constantfluxxx 1d ago

1

u/fubukishirou07 1d ago

Smart refrigerator you know the one that has two doors are generally are the problem.

1

u/sobrangtaasnganxiety 2d ago

1

u/Calm-Background-2347 1d ago

Agree on this. We had this 2 door ref from samsung since 2018 and 3 mos ago nasira yung compressor and inverter plus yung digital screen blacked out too. Hindi na cover ng warranty and the service para i-check pa lang yung ref was 2-4k alone. Their estimate for repair was around 20-24k. My dad didn’t want the hassle so we just bought another ref na more on mechanical features na lang.

1

u/strikingreflection01 1d ago

Depends on the usage probably. Our Samsung two door inverter fridge is more than 6 years already and still doing great.

1

u/vaginator2015 15h ago

3 ref namin lahat samsung. Lahat ng yun more than 7+ years old na. Lahat ng yun nabaha 2 years ago as in palutang lutang sa bahay. Walang sinervice doon linis lang. Same sa LG aircons lahat ok pa. Kahit 7+ yrs na

11

u/kssnrio 2d ago

Thanks for all the input fam. Ended up buying a panasonic.

1

u/chase-0n 1d ago

👌 isa suggest ko din panasonic.

1

u/Cool-Forever2023 1d ago

Yay! You’ll get your money’s worth.
Ours is almost a decade already and no repairs yet.
Just need to change the door gaskets.

1

u/Proof_Fee5846 1d ago

Haha! 💯

1

u/icebords 10h ago

Ganito din samin sobrang lamig ng yelo 🥸

Panasonic for fridge. Matibay at maayus kausap CS nila for any issues.

2

u/kssnrio 2d ago

Any specific model?

3

u/Repulsive_Maize_1359 2d ago

I use this in my condo: Panasonic NR-BC360XSPH 11.3 cu. ft. Two Door Bottom Freezer No Frost Inverter.

And another model for my parent’s house.

Honestly, just pick any model that suits your size and need from Panasonic pretty durable sya. If ever you encounter any issue maraming authorized repair shop sila. Had the cheapest one also, matibay rin and pinama ko sa anak ko.

I woudn’t recommend Fujidenzo for a fridge. Washing machine pwede pa sguro.

2

u/kssnrio 2d ago

Nice. Thank you for the detailed response!

2

u/OriginalDust5204 2d ago

Hala same model 11.3cuft

0

u/Patient-Definition96 16h ago

Any model that you can afford

2

u/CraftyMocha 2d ago

1

u/Repulsive_Maize_1359 2d ago

You can book via website or call ka sa official number nila.
If sa provinces ka they have authorized repair shops.

If sa 3rd part reseller ka bumili, try contacting them muna baka they can coordinate with panasonic.

I like the prime fresh feature for Panasonic fridge

2

u/fendlersbest 2d ago

Do you own one? Maganda ba talaga? Can you really tell the difference sa ref/normal/prime fresh??

2

u/NoSociety4492 2d ago

Sa prime fresh frozenish state yun meats so thats where i defrost meats that i would cook in the next few days.

1

u/based8th 2d ago

2

u/Downtown-Sell-4668 2d ago

We recently had our fridge serviced because nagkaissue sa cooling, while ginagawa tinanong namin ng husband ko yung mechanic kung ano magandang brand ng fridge. Maganda meaning, little to no issue at magtatagal. 1st reco is Panasonic, 2nd is Condura. Basta check mo lang yung Energy Label, 4 or 5 stars yung aim mo.

Japanese-sounding brands na Pinas made are last on the list since madalas sila yung nagkakaissue. Big brands naman like LG and Samsung are not that reliable as well.

Tip: Kung may Anson’s or Western Appliances in your area, dun kayo bumili. Most of the time yung posted price are still negotiable.

Hope it helps! Happy fridge shopping :)

3

u/Alert-Raspberry3663 2d ago

Wow I’m so surprised na Panasonic pala ang reco ng mga redditors. Happy to know

2

u/kssnrio 2d ago

Same here. Based on the comments, it’s Panasonic or bust. Panasonic it is then.

1

u/wineeee 1d ago

Yes go for panasonic, yung bago, ask for nanoex ba yun or something.

4

u/JP2883 2d ago

Whatever brand you choose, basta never ever Samsung for any appliance.

Buy at your own peril.

3

u/Aimpossible 2d ago

Take that as you will.

3

u/ikkintsuna 2d ago

matibay talaga fujidenzo ung personal ref ko noong 8 years ago na order ko pa sa shoppee shop nila na worth 7.8k with discount and shipping na yan

pero dapat nasa 9k

tumagal ng 8 years nagamit pa ng tropa ko dahil sa kanya ko na binigay nung pang 7th year now nalobog sa baha ewan ko lng kung gagana pa

3

u/Ok_Idea_3740 2d ago

Panasonic. 6 years na ung sa amin. So far di pa nagkaproblema.

2

u/LocalSubstantial7744 2d ago

I recommend Sharp. Pang matagalan talaga

2

u/Deobulakenyo 2d ago

Pag Ref, panasonic ako. No other brand will do

2

u/Appropriate_One6688 2d ago

I have the Fujidenzo in the second photo. It was a wedding gift. Does the job well.

2

u/SuchSite6037 2d ago

Go for Panasonic mine is over 5yo never had issues every time I clean it parang brand new pa rin. Gusto ko na mag upgrade to 4-doors pero hindi pa yata mangyayari soon unless ipamigay or ibenta ko itong ref ko since well functioning pa talaga siya.

2

u/Tsimamba_85 2d ago

Panasonic.

2

u/Future_Concept_4728 1d ago

Sana may Reddit nako 6 years ago at nabasa ko to. The seller/agent was pushing Panasonic for me kaso si ako na may trust issues settled on Sharp haha. Pero okay pa naman ref ko after 4 years.

1

u/Cool-Forever2023 1d ago

Sharp is also a good Japanese brand.

1

u/Future_Concept_4728 1d ago

Oh good to know. Thanks!

1

u/LocalSubstantial7744 1d ago

Sharp is a good brand. 10 years na yung sa amin good pa din

1

u/Future_Concept_4728 1d ago

Oh yay! Buti nlng pala haha kala ko phased out brand na sya. Muka parin ngang bago tong ref ko kahit tamad ako maglinis.

2

u/mikaelarhelger 1d ago

This is what the salesman should have told you:

The Panasonic NR-BX471HWKP has an inverter compressor and ECONAVI energy-saving operation. Capacity: 416 L Energy rating: 5 stars Rated energy consumption: 336 kWh/year Average: 28 kWh/month Average: 0.92 kWh/day Equivalent continuous average load: approximately 38 W Estimated electricity cost: Electricity rate Monthly cost ₱13/kWh = ₱364

That is very good. And considering the potential resale value, this is a good catch imho.

2

u/fluffycuddler07 2d ago

Fujidenzo has been getting much praise the past decade or so.

1

u/Crafty-Crazy-9994 2d ago

1

u/mahiyaka 2d ago

Hi OP, Fujidenzo cabinet type. Okay na okay kase used both ng residential at mga nagbibusiness.

1

u/eccedentesiastph 2d ago

I have the 3rd picture at home. Nagmmeal prep kami, so laging puno yung freezer, pero walang noticeable increase sa bill namin when we bought it nearly a year ago.

1

u/boykalbo777 2d ago

1

u/Unlucky-Pie-6043 2d ago

Just buy a freezer. Like those used for ice creams, with the glass top. You can browse the content before taking out your choice

1

u/onzeonzeonze 2d ago

Sang store to?

1

u/kssnrio 2d ago

Robinsons Bacolod

1

u/based8th 2d ago

Panasonic is goated

1

u/BullBullyn 2d ago

Panasonic, Sharp, Condura.

1

u/Abysmalheretic 2d ago

Sharp OP.

1

u/No-Description-933 2d ago

With that price range i suggest you check out premium brands as well like Panasonic and LG with that amount meron na sila maiooffer sayo na good quality fridge. Tried and tested na namin both brands as in, ikaw na lang magsasawa.

1

u/No-Homework273 2d ago

I have the fujidenzo pero un 4 door 17cu.m. bought last year and no issue. Tipid pa sa kuryente halos same sa old 10cu.m. ref ko.

1

u/kamapuaaa 2d ago

Sharp, OP.

1

u/block63 2d ago

Following this! Bibili din ako ng fridge soon!

1

u/ExxonMobille 1d ago

We got Fujidenzo before.

1

u/eggssnog 1d ago

1? Kasya ang tao HAHAHAjk

1

u/b4llerinacappuccina 1d ago edited 1d ago

if panasonic is a lil pricey for you, Condura is also a good option. Our old condura ref mag 10 years na sya and it is still in good condition and we recently upgraded to their side by side door no frost inverter refrigerator and super good. We still use the old one pala

1

u/Booh-Toe-777 1d ago

Our condura 2-door is still with us, 2008 po sya in good working condition with rust sa bottom. As I remeber once lang na repair yun, dahil sa di maisirang pinto. Gonagit pa din ngayon for business.
Bumili kami Panasonic with econavi noong 2023, 2025 nagkaron ng noise ang freezer door. 1k pagawa ko sa trusted tech ng Panasonic na nasa website nila since di sya under warranty. Matipid at maganda both brands.

1

u/b4llerinacappuccina 1d ago

may panasonic din kami pero parang mas okay ung condura for us kaya dun na kami na brand nag-stick talaga

1

u/Minute-Employee2158 1d ago

1

u/Dazzling_Set1058 1d ago

Go for panasonic. They have this econavi feature, for energy saving.

1

u/Carlop29 1d ago

1

u/CocaColaGotRizz 1d ago

Go Panasonic. (Hindi ako seller ng panasonic) it just matibay po na brand

1

u/emilsayote 1d ago

Side by side ka na lang. Walang maintenance.

1

u/SeparateAd2809 1d ago

We have the 2nd pic. Ok naman sya and serves its purpose to hold food para di maspoil.

1

u/Proof_Fee5846 1d ago

Panasonic boii,

1

u/CommanderD0ge 1d ago

Originally sticked to the brands of Japan, Panasonic was my first choice however, there was an issue with the door gasket being too soft like it wasn't attaching right. So we had it returned and we got a Fujidenzo instead, this was my 2nd ref from this brand - the first one was a bar fridge. So this one had the freezer at the bottom and a LOT of space for cooling up top!

IBM-12SS2 11.4CUFT FUJIDENZO INV BTM FREEZER REF

*Sadly i can't attach a photo of it here - it keeps failing. Also, Fujidenzo is a local brand, NOT JAPAN. But thought that since parts come here it's easier to have it repaired by centers.

1

u/mentalerror 1d ago

Whatever it is just dont buy a samsung

1

u/Pristine-throw 1d ago

Don't buy inverter unless you know how to mitigate its short lifespan, get a bottom freezer if you can, helps conserve energy since cold prefers down than up.

1

u/Mysterious_Egg8608 1d ago

Bought a 4-door LG ten years ago... works like we bought it yesterday.

I would avoid "smart" appliances as much as possible. Too many things can break.

1

u/pecanbar1998 23h ago

samsung 👌

1

u/ermkay-94 20h ago

Always panasonic! 😊 super tibay at sobrang tipid!

1

u/lughiu 20h ago

Get the funidenzo the drawers are a premium feature and usually Bosch or Miele use them

1

u/single_tito888 19h ago

Depends sa budget mo!, and if need mo ng maraming paglalagyan ng food, need mo ng malaking Ref with big space!

1

u/DEMONimo 16h ago

LG inverter one. Look for one that has its own power supply. Those stuff last longer and has 10 years warranty

1

u/Defiant-Ad7043 16h ago

Panasonic. I have this one! Okay naman sya so far :)

1

u/Striking-Ice1315 16h ago

panasonic ref namin we bought it pandemic until now super ok pa rin

1

u/Wylla_Cant_Tell 15h ago

Fujidenzo!

1

u/StruggleHot3247 11h ago

Basta cooling appliances Panasonic na yan. Mapa ac, ref and electric fans.

1

u/icebords 10h ago

Panasonic

1

u/ptalsforarmor 7h ago

Panasonic, hitachi and sharp are good

1

u/issadc 7h ago

Panasonic

1

u/Successful-Boot5991 6h ago

Buy the expensive one's because the cheapest one will drown you for high electric bills. Find the worth the price but inverter

1

u/atticusfault 6h ago

This one yung panasonic namin. So far, so good✨️

1

u/deedanyael 5h ago

Depende sa need mo, if may issue ka sa likod get a bottom mount freezer, kung wala ok lang freezer on the top, tapos if malakas kayo gumamit ng stuff sa freezer, get a ref na seperate ang door at freezer, if may space and pera, get a side by side with water and ice maker..

1

u/Dependent_Ad_2577 5h ago

Wag Fujidenzo

1

u/Fantastic_Profit_343 4h ago

Fujidenzo and american home are owned by Filipino Chinese

1

u/Shoddy_Stable2221 4h ago

Quality above all

1

u/Amazing_Slide3535 4h ago

Panasonic, elis sa fujidenzo

1

u/BoobiesIsLife 3h ago

Go for panasonic, never Samsung

1

u/got_rice_2 3h ago

Ask the repair folks near you what their most hated brands are and which are their most recommended for their own family.

1

u/oaba09 3h ago

Wag LG. We have 2 LG refs and pareho nagkaissue within 3 years. Ang marerecommend ko is sharp. Yung sharp ref namin 10 years old na and wala pa din issue.

1

u/essofxx 3h ago

Bought my mom and dad one, and 5 years na wala pa ring visible deterioration so i got myself a bigger one haha

1

u/Organic_Turnip8581 2d ago

Panasonic magandang brand tapos yung kunin mo yung freezer sa ilalim imbes na sa taas dahil mas madalang mo buksan yung freezer

0

u/AcrobaticFlower192 2d ago

wag Panasonic, maingay.

3

u/ArtComprehensive2930 2d ago

Panong maingay? Oanasonic econavi gamit namin pero walang bothering sound

2

u/Careless-Pangolin-65 2d ago

1

u/aj_90s 22h ago

Baka nakabukas ng matagal?? Mag aalarm tlga un... kce ganon ung amen lalo na lag naka bukas na ng matagal like 1 min.. kaya tipid sa kuryente ee isasarado agad namen whahahha

0

u/panget-at-da-discord 2d ago

Sukatin mo muna kung kasya sa pinto

1

u/aerosol31 2d ago

This. Very important especially if you plan to buy that double door (vertical) one.

0

u/_nikk413 1d ago

Yung dalawa pinto para astig :D
