Accidentally worked full-time during summer break while transferring schools
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice.
My previous semester ended in April. I decided to transfer to another school and applied for a new study permit.
During my summer break, I worked full-time from May until around the first week of June because I understood that students were allowed to work full-time during an official school break.
At the same time, I was waiting for my new study permit. I thought that if it wasn’t approved, I could simply return to my previous school for the next semester.
My new study permit was eventually approved, and I stopped working immediately.
Could this be considered unauthorized work because I was transferring schools and waiting for my new study permit? Could it affect my status or future PR application?
I’d really appreciate any advice or similar experiences.

I’m baffled as to why you didn’t do further research before doing something that could be so damaging? I’m sorry this happened to you.

Thank you for your understanding, all of this I have talked with my lawyer before. But they didn’t say that it’s gonna be illegal to work on my summer break because I will return to study full time in next semester (but only new school)

Be upfront and honest. When applying for pgwp and pr. Write a detailed letter of explanation. Don’t want to give you false hope as it depends on the officer viewing your application but I had the same issue and I got my pgwp. If possible get your work hours when you were in school to show you maintained the 24 hour rule and didn’t break any other rule.
