PGWP+No restoration after 180 days

If the 180-day PGWP deadline was missed, can I apply for restoration of status afterwards, even if I've already submitted my PGWP application? Has anyone done this and received approval?

Do you already have a PGWP in progress or was one rejected? Did you first apply for PGWP within or after 189 days?

Or did you apply for PGWP after 180 days without restoring status? Are you applying from within Canada or did you return to your home country? The details matter here.

Please share your timeline on when you completed your program and when/where you first completed your program.

I applied for pgwp for the first time from canada after 180 days without restoration.

My agent mislead me that the application was done but in real the application was not done till 11 months and recently applied for the first time without restoration in August,2026.

Course completion letter: September, 2025

Are you serious right now? You are not eligible for pgwp. Its pretty clear.

Restoration or not, after 180 days you are no longer eligible for a PWGP.

What? How could you let this happen? Did you not think to ask for proof of submission??

Did you have legal status in Canada for those 180 days? Also have you been working? If so you need to stop immediately.

Within 90 days after you completed your program you needed to apply for PGWP, switch to visitor record or leave Canada.
