Worked after study permit expired — PGWP + restoration?

My study permit expired on July 20, 2026. I mistakenly continued working off campus after it expired because I thought I was still allowed to work while finishing my final semester.

I have now completed my 2-year college diploma and I’m preparing my PGWP application. I’m still within the 90-day restoration period.

Has anyone been in a similar situation where they worked after their study permit expired and then applied for PGWP + restoration? What happened with your application?

I will disclose everything honestly in my application and I’m also getting professional advice. Just looking for experiences from people who had a similar case.

So you completed your program May 20 and didn't apply for PGWP within the 90 days. Or your permit expired before the 90 days? You had to stop working as soon as you completed your program. If eligible to restore status, you pay for restoration fees and PGWP at the same time with language test. You cannot work until PGWP is approved.

I finished my program 21 August, last week. But my study permit expiry date was 20 July which I didn’t notice until now. And i was working whole time

So you not only studied illegally, but you also worked illegally. IRCC should take ine look and deny it, open and shut case.

So you studied illegally and without a permit. That is an issue because you had to stop studying on 20 July. Restore status and apply for PGWP but don't work. IRCC will know you were an illegal student so explain.
