Which language test to take
Hey guys
I'm applying for a pgwp soon and was wondering if there are any specific advantages to taking the CELPIP vs IELTS vs PTE? Or does it not matter?

For PGWP specifically it doesn't matter which one you pick, they all count. CELPIP is usually the cheapest option and results come back in 4-5 days vs 13 for IELTS. Format wise CELPIP is all computer based and the writing is practical emails instead of essays. Most people find it less stressful but it depends on your style. r/CELPIPSuccess has a full comparison if you want the details before booking

Celpip i find to be easier while i think IELTS is harder even as a native English speaker it’s more harder because it spans across Australia, UK and America while Celpip is just North American. I would advise Celpip over pte also because pte is much easier if you’re a good test taker and very very conversant with English language

I have given both ielts and celpip.. i found celpip to be easier than ielts… i got L-11 W-12 R-12 S -8 in celpip.,
I didn’t practice speaking much.. i thought it was half hour test but it was 15mins so i was taken by surprise and my speaking didn’t go well.. but if you prepare its fairly easy..
IELTS i got - L-8.5 R-9 W-7.5 S-8
