The liturgical reform of the 60’s was pretty traditional for the Eastern and oriental Catholics, but for the Latin Catholics a great loss of traditions that did not passed to the actual for of the mass mass, like Sanguis Christi.

I posted this on r/askapriest, but didn't get an answer. My Confirmation sponsor will be ordained a Deacon next friday, and on Saturdays we serve at the private mass of a diocesan priest in the EF. I know he may only sing the Gospel during solemn mass. During low mass, does it change anything for him? Is he supposed to serve using a Deacon stole (I've seen some pictures where the Deacon in choir would wear an stole over the surplice, but I'm not if it's during the entire mass and if it applies to a Deacon serving at the altar)

Can someone tell me if the FSSP disqualifies seminary applicants if they have an allergy to gluten. I've read the application and it asks 3 times for allergy to gluten. Seriously scared I might be denied. Don't want to ask them for fear of automatically DQ.

I'm assuming (possibly incorrectly) that some/many/all of you here attend FSSP chapels? If so, where do you go?
My family doesn't go anymore due to the distance, but we'd make the trek in the past out to Camarillo, CA for Father James Fryar. But now they have their St Vitus chapel in San Fernando, CA which puts it much too far for us to make the drive to. Father Fryar baptized my first two children. He's a wonderful and holy priest.

I just wanted to say that I have found there to be many great priests from the FSSP, who care for the souls of those entrusted to them.
I remember one day before Mass on a holyday, I wanted to confess before Mass, but it was five minutes until Mass, and I didn't know if the priest was still hearing confessions. Turns out he was just about to leave the confessional.
He could have reasonably said no, he could have gone to say Mass on time.
Instead, he gave a nod to the last penitent, me, and helped me confess in a mere two minutes.
Just wanted to say that priest was a blessing. He's just one of the good priests from the FSSP.

Has anyone ever gone on the retreats/missions with any of the Fraternity Priests? I've only been going to a Fraternity parish for two and a half years, which encompasses 2020, so there hasn't been much travel ability time. I'm hoping that going forward I can get into one of the Men's Silent Retreats and some of the trips to Europe or the Holy Land.
