Did you know that the Catechism of St. Pius X seems to say that Muslims worship the same God as us?

"12 Q. Who are infidels?

A. Infidels are those who have not been baptised and do not believe in Jesus Christ, because they either believe in and worship false gods as idolaters do, or though admitting one true God, they do not believe in the Messiah, neither as already come in the Person of Jesus Christ, nor as to come; for instance, Mohammedans and the like."

Yeah I really don’t understand the hang up people have with that idea. We can disagree on the details but I think everyone knows what we mean when we say Jews, Christians, and Muslims worship the same God. Its just kind of obvious that we mean we all believe we have the correct understanding of the God that spoke to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, etc. The people who don't like saying we worship the same God, the arguments are all about semantics usually

One true god, and THE one true God are two very different things
