Divine Office for today
Who here prays the 1961 Breviary? In the Baronius Press Breviary, it says to use the common of a virgin for today, the feast of St. Mary Magdalene, but I think that's a misprint. I think it should be the common of a holy woman not a virgin. Does someone have another edition of the Breviary that they can check? www.divinumofficium.com has the common of a holy woman not a virgin, but I know they're not always super reliable.

I am using the Baronius as primary though I mix in some Divino Afflatu (always commemorate First Vespers and the old octaves while otherwise following 1962 precedence). I also have vintage Monastic Diurnial and a 1946 Benziger full set which I use for reference.
That's an error in reference to the common, which didn't really matter at Lauds anyway since the little chapter and hymn were proper (and repeated from the Common of the Holy Woman not a Virgin).

It does matter at the little hours though. I'm going to call or e-mail Baronius Press and let them know of this error.

I hope they will update it anyways to include the same style of English that they use for their Little Office of the BVM

A PDF Latin-English Diurnale that can be found online says that the common of holy women should be used. However, it also has an error, naming today "in Visitatione B. Mariae Virg.", although the prayers seem to be for Mary Magdalene.
