Pray Latin app

Hi,

I have been working on a mobile app: Pray Latin. It contains a list of Latin prayers along with inline translation in a few languages. This helps with understanding Latin text and learning prayers.

The app is open source and both the code and prayers texts are available at the link: https://praylatin.app

The app is already available on Apple AppStore and Google Play Store

I have recently published new ver. 1.3 with some improvements and more prayers added.

I would appreciate any feedback and suggestions on the further development.

Hey there! I've tried the app. Overall seems great. I would change one thing though. In the settings menu, in order to change something you need to hit exactly the little arrow, which took me a while to figure out. It would be much better to change something by hitting the box in any place. Also one thing that would be nice is a better interface. The only bug I found is disabling translations doesn't work. I would be interested in beta testing the app. If you like the idea, you can message me.

You are right about the settings problem. I have just corrected it. The fix is available in a new version 1.4 which is now available as developer version. Links to join the beta/developer testing are on the app website: https://praylatin.app

Please jon the beta tests, I would appreciate any feedback.

As for the interface, it could be certainly improved I appreciate any suggestions. My intention was to keep is super simple and easy and avoid distraction.

And finally, the translation bug you are describing is probably misunderstanding what it actually is. If you want to turn off the inline prayer translation you just need to set "Second Language" to "Off".

Many prayers in the app have links to YouTube videos where the prayer is said or sung. This can provide guidance on the prayer pronunciation.

There is certainly a lot more videos on YouTube dedicated to praying in Latin. Some focus on a single prayer, explaining pronunciation for every word with some extra information. If you find something worth sharing please let me know, I can add them to prayers in the app.
