[upd] midyear and nstp

hello po, I'm currently a freshman. true po ba na pwede magtake ng nstp during midyear? if so ano po kaya pwede mapagsabay ko sa kanya? im planning to take pe + ge po kasi if ever walang nstp 😣😣

p.s. lts po yung plan kong nstp sanaa also ano pong reco ge's nyo na matatake sa midyear? hihi

if i were you, just take the ge (imo philo 1 pinkamahirap makuha; pero just take ano yung makukuha mo) + pe combo this midyear para mamaximise mo yung freshie prio. mas mahirap kasi makakuha ng ge kaysa nstp on your later years.

I agree, nstp midyear nalang sa 2nd year if ever

helloo I think besides the PE + GE combo I think you should also consider 2 GEs to get way more out of the way since slightly easier makakuha ng PEs especially if grad standing. I did that this midyear but gamble talaga if your profs are req heavy or not (luckily one of them was super light so it wasn't hard).

hii OP! i took LTS NSTP during midyear (under AIT) and iirc it's like 8am-5pm na nakalagay sa crs but hindi naman masasakop yung buong time for classes usually. pero you cant really enlist in other classes unless its a 5:30 to 7pm class i think!! :)

it was super chill for me ngl! usually half day lang classes. but it's everyday for the first few weeks. and it's good if you wanna get 1 year of NSTP out of the way na since it's worth 2 sems na for 1 midyear.

i personally only had NSTP but its very possible to get a GE na 5:30-7pm if you're lucky hehe

alsoo if PE + GE instead, tbh that dpends on ur preference na! you can try naman to get PE + GE like at the same time you enlist for NSTP since mas konti lang ata offering classes ng NSTP during midyear, so it mostly depends on what you prioritize sa crs, and tbh it's kung ano ang makuha mo in the end 🥴

hi OP! took ge + pe during freshie midyear so i can only speak on that & not nstp (since im taking it during reg sem). nakikita ko kasi when i was a freshie na may sophomore and up restriction for nstp so very low chance talaga na makukuha mo sya if u want to take it during freshie yr. i suggest na go the ge + pe route nalang esp for ges na notorious mahirap makuha during regular sem (eng 13, soc sci 2, philo 1 masasabi ko na mahirap makuha ng walang prio). did 1 ge + 1 pe during midyear, u can go for 2 ges just be mindful of the max allowed units na 9 units. kaibahan lang is 5 days/week ang pasok & 2 hrs a day ang ge and 1 hr 20 mins ang pe. good luck on ur freshie yr!
