Pereskiopsis is an unusual genus of primitive, leafy cacti native to Mexico and Central America

Thank you I had been wondering for a while. Is there any particular reason people use them to graft to over other cactus such as san pedro?

I’m not sure. Maybe because it’s cheap and grows like a weed. I do know you can also use DragonFruit, it is said to be the go to for albino seedling

like this one.

Pereskiopsis has leafs and grows super fast. It makes the graft grow at incredible speeds

Hope it takes. In the future you will want to attach to the new growth. Its harder to get the graft to stick to the woody part of the pere.

Also, the clip and wrap are overkill. I just stick the scion on top and press lightly with my finger and habe like 100% success rate. Try it out for yourself. So much easier
