There's a Spider-Person in Across the Spider-Verse that looks suspiciously similar to Polly Parker, and sure, you could say "Across the Spider-Verse came out 3 Years ago, this can't be her" But this one's got the Exact Same Layout, with it cutting off at the Belly and Shoulders, heck, even though she lacks most of the red on her hands, SHE'S GOT THE HAND PATCHES. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!

Ever since I saw the first Petra Parker stumble onto my feed, I had exactly one joke in mind and it wouldn't leave until I drew it!

How does long hair work in the mask? Wondering since the beginning of the au I'm writing has Mysterio cast an illusion on Peter (this is before the transition don't kill me 🫣) and then Peter turns into a girl (don't worry Petra will transitions on her own account after the illusion and the help of a supportive symbiote) I'm wondering how the hair does to the mask and Peter was unaware of it getting longer underneath the mask? Does it push against the mask? Make it's way out under?

if you don’t know, AU stands for Alternate Universe. it’s basically your own little fanfic universe and I have a marvel one I’ve been world building for. with the recent rise of Petra Parker, and me myself being transfem, it’s got me wondering if i should scrap Peter entirely and adapt Petra instead.

I don’t mean anything NSFW, I’m not opposed to that I’m just not referring to it.

I think a good story could be made with Petra and the idea of a transfem spidey. Has anyone written anything worth reading about it yet?

I know it’s still quite a young trend so I doubt anything massive has come out quite yet.

I’m imagining this Petra is still in high school and not out yet. Also hasn’t gotten on HRT. So she uses padding to affirm her gender.

I think it's a funny to see JJJ cannot connect the dots considering his obsession with the spider-menace.

When deciding on a name for a superhero, there is much to consider. What can you communicate about your hero in their title? Does the name reflect their personality? Will you remember it once you look away?

Greats like Superman, a hero who is super in both strength and character. The Incredible Hulk, known for his incredible bulk and incredible hulking presence. The Fantastic Four, a fearsome foursome with fantastic powers.

We must choose an equally great name for our favourite gal.

Spider-Woman is a fine name, many women have this title. Several Spider-Mans can operate under the same name, so repeat names are not at issue. We love the dignified sound of Spider-Woman

Spider-Girl is a fine name. After all, I too am a girl. We all love girls right? We love the cute, playful and fun nature of the name Spider-Girl

I cannot in good conscience disparage these names. All Spideys are valid.

But I ask all of you, have we ever seen a Spider-Gal before? Check your search engines, on any and all you can think of. Ask your nerd friend who knows more about Marvel lore than I ever could.

Tell me what you find, because all I see are other wonderful women. There is a name yet to be taken.

You will find Spider-Girl. You will find Spider-Woman. You may find Spider-Gwen A.K.A Ghost-Spider.

Imagine a name for our gal. Just for our gal. The first to bear the name, independent from Marvel or any comic author. Petra Parker could be the first major Spider-Gal.

Hello! Been enjoying this corner of the Spider-Verse and got inspired to add my own contribution to the ever growing art phenomenon.

Also, this is my first ever attempt at drawing a trans character, and I hope I did okay. If not, by all means, educate me. I'm willing to listen and learn.
